  1. I have a kenyon set with two separate gyros. I always bring a separate cheap small car battery on my magliner (also 220 sine converter, so I can charge phones/nextodi en other stuff) I use the car battery for powering up the gyros because the power draw is huge at start up and will kill/damage your expensive dichroics etc. Once they're speeded up (5min) they use significantly less power. Then I connect them to the sled power on 1 separate dichroic sololy. For long runs I can connect them to a backpack. Never needed this though. I use a standard car adapter. In case of dead carbattery, there most of the time is a car around and i can tap of the lighter.
  2. I've been (and am) using the aladdin for years now. Never encountered any problems... Curious what went wrong with you guys
  3. In addition to the none broadcast solutions I use the WyTy wireless tally system (www.wyty.eu) when there is no direct tally feed. The "Actual" output or LED indicator-reader from any switcher can be transmitted to the tally receiver which can be on the camera, or anywhere conveniant on the rig (even on the com headset). Mark that the new Transvideo Cinemonitors have a 'tally over SDI' indication functionality and on top of that: Soon you can have a second tally onscreen-indication from the GPI input of the screen! (Green and red) So you can read out if your cam is recording AND have the live-tally from the broadcast swicher.
