  1. To Mitch and Ben, any chance you guys have pictures of the mods from a board level perspective? I'm not terribly skilled in the EE arena but know enough to be dangerous. Would like to see your mods for the power adapter and BNC additions. Would love to mod this little piece of junk into something more useful as my DINs keep falling out due to the stress from the cables attached to them. Thanks.

  2. I attended the workshop several years ago and would have to say that anyone serious about their career as a steadicam op should attend this workshop. I believe it to be one of the most paramount experiences in my life for getting me off on the right foot and teaching me the mindset and skills needed to be a successful op. The experience you'll gain, the tools you'll have access to, and the immense amount of knowledge from the masters makes this workshop stand out beyond all the others. You never know who's going to show up to teach and the sheer amount of fun you'll have is why I try to go back and help any chance I get. Highly recommended.

  3. Hi Rob, I've recently started getting serious about my profession as a steadicam op. Just purchased my first rig and have begun to line up work. I'm curious as to what veteran steadicam ops such as yourself have in regards to insurance covering the rig (both in storage and on film sets), health insurance (at the moment I just have major medical coverage, would it be prudent to have more coverage), and in regards to Stian's post I too would be interested in what a COI looks like as I've never had to request one from a production yet. Furthermore any other legal advice you may have that a new op like myself should know. Thanks

  4. I just joined. I've been an op for a few years now in Indiana (though I spend an equal amount of time in Nashville, TN). Looking into buying my first rig, as the rig I used to use belongs to the university.

Are there any Steadicam operators in Indiana or Minnesota on the forums?
