  1. I think Thunder Bay has the most nose rings per capita in North America, there must be weekly sale or something

  2. How to celebrate Columbus Day:Walk into someone else's home and tell them its yours

  3. I didn't say it was your fault. I said I was blaming you.

  4. Loaded like a freight train Flyin' like an aeroplane

  5. Great lunch with David today, he works with sodexo on campus so we ate in the posh restaurant and had lamb chops dessert was yum, poor guy he wants his video off youtube he feels it is too much attention

  6. I do have an interesting twist to a UK buyer with a spare bedroom, I'm short accommodations for the para-olympics Aug 28-Sept10, if you have 2500 GBP AND a spare bedroom within a decent commute of olympic village, I could bring my provid over and leave it when I return to Canada.....
  7. Tuff question. The provid cant handle HD signals, so you need to dowconvert the signal. The arm and sled cant handle to much weigt, but if you strip the camera down you might be able to get it in balance. The provid will limit you fast, so if your looking to invest in a rig i would reccomend something else. There is enough to find on the second hand market. The provid isnt a rig you can rebuild or upgrade. For learning, oh yes, go start flying with it. I started with an sk2 many moons ago. Buy a book, get a workshop and practise till you drop ;-) Best You are so kind Job,,,, It should be better to leave your girl friend for a travel than to start with a Pro-vid (I had one). Zephyr is, for me, one the best choices to begin and start flying steadicam systems... Any way , if you can get an "old" EFP well used and good priced, go go go... It is only my opinion... best... ..and agree... If you found a second hand Pro-vid, may be the CRT monitor was in it last second of life... I have a seen a couple provids out there with nice HD monitor conversions, it can fly the sony 800 easily. Even the 24v addon battery conversions look good, extend the life of the rig, do the job just fine. If you have the provid for cheap and it does the job what is the problem with that?
  8. Looks like I'm going to order a Scout, most likely some time next week. Gulp! Sarah I'm 6' and 250lb my provid vest fits me fine and with the velcro there is alot of room to expand, mine and another Provid have been on here for about 2 months atleast for around 4k, sounds like you are handy and could swap out the SD monitor for an HD LCD etc ... flyer isn't the only game in town!
  9. lol, i didnt know i should have started off with 'free to go a good home'
  10. I see a Provid on Ebay with a buy it now of $5000.00 which might be close to the current value of this type of rig. I am willing to match this price at $5000.00, buyer will have to cover their own INSURED shipping costs at this price. I'd still be interested in any partial trade with some pro Nikon lenses as well. Thanks for your interest chris
  11. sent you an email quite a while ago but didn't hear anything back, have you found a provid?
  12. Lot's of nibbles no bites, don't be afraid to throw an offer, my Euro friends yes I can fly into any city on my way to the Olympics and deliver this in person.
  13. Hard to gauge what the current market is for a used rig like this provid. I don't really want to go any lower than $6000.00 USD or 4750 Euro with one vest. If I don't sell at this price, I will be upgrading the mint greenscreen, with a HD/SD switchable LCD and keep this baby for film school in the fall.
  14. You could get into my provid, it's looking for a new home. http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=15783 All it needs really is an upgraded LCD monitor capable of HD display or a switchable SD/HD display.
  15. I am back to NO battery included in the sale, You need to supply your own Anton Bauer battery for the QrC Gold mount. (better you know and trust your own batteries) $6500 US Dollars, 5000 Euro With one vest! $7500 US Dollars 5750 Euro with both vests.
  16. Linking some photos! I have 2 vests available with this unit, you can pick which one you prefer. Large photos here: http://chriscartwright.smugmug.com/event/Steadicam-Provid-for-sale
  17. Did you get your vest fixed? I have an extra complete vest in like new condition
  18. Heavy duty shipping case is included in the sale!
  19. The System is now complete with batteries! I can also lower the asking price by $500.00 $7000.00 or $5000 euro.
