Hi everyone, Last week I was working in a 3D film. Freestyle rig with RED Epic. I used my 3A arm. Everything was ok when suddenly one socket block pin broke. The arm was attached in the hardmount, upon a Panther. Fortunately nothing was damaged, any conncetor, camera, freestyle or sled, except the arm. I have two questions. 1- Maybe the hardmount was not correctly placed? The socket block was oriented to the 12 o´clock and the arm was streched to 3 o´clock. Can be this a mistake? I suspect that the socket block have to be oriented in the same direcction that the arm or completcly opposite. Or It had to be working well and the socket broke by the fatigue? 2- Somebody know where can I find a socket block pin? Best regards Niko

Hi guys! Finally I solved the problem. Which was not the reason. I removed all the D-box and side to side and when I mounted no noise was heard. I thank you all for your contribution. This forum is the best. Greetings Niko

It is an interesting theory. I will check this particular. Not like carbon responds when not properly attached, I have not designed this sled and no work with carbon materials. I'll tilt with post fully extended and fully retracted. Thanks Niko

Last PRO battery module not HD. think you can have relationship? the noise comes between gimbal and top stage.

Hi Alec! Thanks for tell me about your case. Both, gimbal and post are one and a half year. Not ready for HD. I cheked all the screws and all these tight. Nothing moves in the steady and not unbalanced. I want to look more carefully because it has me baffled. I can not tell where the noise probiene. Thanks again Niko

Hi Steve! You gotta carbon center post? and never made any noise? The gimbal is also XCS, the same manufacturer as the center post. It fits perfectly and is only a year and a half. I've never heard that the gimbal center of XCS and carbon post squeak. I cheked the connectors between parts and all are tight. I will try to tilt with little weight.

Hi everyone. I mention to a problem I have on my sled when tilt. The sled is a combiancion between PRO: batterie module and D-box; Center post carbon XCS and Betz tools top stage. When I tilt down some cracks occur. When I do not tilt up. I'm not sure where the sound comes from, is located between gimbal and D-box.The sound may come from the carbon post but I'm not sure. Some of you have the same problem. You think of that might be? Regards Niko

Hi Erwin. First of all I apologize for my mistakes in my English I will try to give my opinion the best I could I'm not saying that I was relax in that shooting. Charles King was asking how much weight can carry the EFP Gimbal so I wanted him to see it is possible to carry a 535 or BL, if the equipment is in good condition, of course. Of course I am aware that the engine was at 100% but when a person bet some times you have to run the risk. I think the EFP was built very well designed for video productions, but with ample room to work in film productions, talking about the sled, not arm or vest. So I can not compare with Provid. I assure you that Im looking forward to have competitive sled film! Regards Niko

Hi everybody! Anybody knows where can I find out a widget to attach a monitor mounts Marshall (for example) to the XCS monitor support arm? The Spirit level from Transvideo is the best option if its used with a monitor trasnsvideo but if I have a Marshall monitor the monitor wont be in the center. Regards Niko

Hello everybody! I am thinking of upgrading my sled to a sled film equipped. I´m thinking in a hybrid sled. The combination of elements is the follow: PRO battery module XCS 2 "centerpost (PRO compatible) PRO upper junction box Betz tools Top stage Someone has this setting on your sled? I would like to know what do you think about this. Do you think is good combination? Or think that it is best to work with a sled from the same manufacturer? Hi guys! The first thing is to introduce myself. I'm Niko Lasarte, an operator established in spain. The second thing to apologize for the mistakes in my English. any way, let´s see. :blink: This is the time to change my old EFP sled by one most complete. I was in CINEC and I had the opportunity to test several rigs. :lol: :lol: Among others tried the PRO and felt very comfortable. until now had the guru of the steadis (also because I was able to work with her and know her). also tried the MK-V and also felt very well, a very fine machine. In favor of MK-V I see 2 things: - Is a 4 stage sled (which can make a superpost in 5 minutes). - It is ready to carry HD signal to the inside of the sled. On the contrary: - price :o , and don´t know the weight sled. I have heard that working with light cameras can be uncomfortable. Has anyone had this experience? PRO sled? I like a lot but I have a feeling that is lagging behind in some respects. With this future is coming ... (RED, ARRI D-21 and those coming! I have also heard of XCS but I don´t know. I would like to know your opinion on the matter. What do you think of the HD and post in 4 stage? So I can make myself a more complete idea and decide with more discretion. Thank you very much ;) Niko
