  1. I have the app, but i get a bug, isntead of opening in the app natively, it asks me to open a web page of the forum. Otherwise, the forum itself works fine in safari mobile.
  2. Here is the link to the data sheet of the piece: http://datasheets.gl...40-0335571B9A0D Product Overview Suitable for many heavy load, high precision motion control applications, the Tuthill TSMX/TSFX Series brings an upgrade of heavy duty performance to a precision 3-piece metal to metal rod end design (housing uses a heat treated alloy material instead of standard steels used in other 2- and 3-piece designs). The ball is produced from bearing quality steel that is thru hardened and finish ground, adding to its precision fit and increased wear performance. The body and raceway are machined from heat treated alloy steel and are zinc plated for extended corrosion resistance. Its clear chromate finish is suited for high visibility exposed surfaces requiring "aesthetically pleasing" bright metal surfaces. Studded and right or left-handed thread versions are available. Grease fittings are optionally available. 3. As a new op, rate is one of my first questions when I meet other ops. Not that I want to compare or gossip, but because I want to figure out how to talk to prods and work without breaking the market price. As of right now I a considering upgrading to a larger rig and I am working on my business plan and rates are important. Thank everyone for being open and sharing with us?
  4. I'm personally impressed by the born factor of these new hd transmitters.
  5. as well as a wireless video. But these might not be useful for most seadicam ops as they should have their own. but still good to have for a crane shot or similar.
  6. What about one of those anti vibration plates for alexa? http://www.cam-jam.de/alexa.html
  7. Pleas give us your feedback when you shoot. I'm curious th know what a HD operator thinks and feels with a film camera.
  8. I am guessing the pivot allows your hips to move but you can still control the angle with your chest. Allowing you to walk slowly while still controlling with you upper body.
  9. Contact Dan Ikeda dikeda@tiffen.com Ps: sorry for the stupid autocorrect in my previous post.
  10. I have had so many issues with the Cube that I would nor recommend it to anyone. It looks great on the paper, but if you want to use one, set it the Tx coupled with a Airport station in video village and feed it with the Bolt (or any wireless for that matter) no anyone with an iPhone/iPad on set can look at live image, great for costume/make up and save some real-estate around the monitors.
  11. Same menu? And you can connect an extra receiver? Isn't teradeck saying that you can only do that at the factory? Plus the same menu? It confirms that the bolt is an arrow with a SDI converter inside.
  12. You either said too much or not enough. What is your "winter project"?
  13. I plug a Hyperdeck which has an internal battery on the ABs with no problem. I don't think this would be the issue. Check the polarities of your connector and the polarity of your P-tap (sometimes it's inverted for some reasons) with a multimeter. I took the habbit of checking the polarity every time I plug on a different battery system, a bad wiring and boom goes your electronic...
  14. What if your problem happens within those 10-15 first years?
  15. Andrew Johnson was operating on AR.
  16. I believe the new Blackmagic have a wider range of voltage. Chech for every converter as it varies.
  17. Hey, I answered you on REDuser already, you really don't want to invest in a steadicam if you can't use it properly. Not having a Follow focus defeats the purpose of even using a steadicam in the first place, avoiding the matte box is not a good idea as you are mobile, you will get flares constantly. Plus, going lighter will introduce issues and render your shot close to unusable. The Zephyr is the smallest model that I would buy to fly a Epic/Scarlet with. It is an investment, but so is your camera, a set of good lens etc... If you want to fool around with a cheap steadicam, maybe getting a Pilot ($3,995.00) and use a lighter camera on top could be the solution. The Red is a pro camera, use it as such, otherwise use a 5D on a Pilot, or a GoPro on a Smoothie. I currently fly a Zephyr and am looking into switching to a bigger rig within the year already.
  18. What's the answer to 6 and 7? Just curious. Otherwise the question should be: What is "Lisigav"? (fun tip: do a google image for it) More seriously: I knew the name of garret before entering the site, but for some reason, I kept on writing "Garret Brown" for answer, instead of just "Brown". Did a quick google and got the right wording. Not complicated and limits the DVXuser kind of crowd in here. As for accessibility, you can still read the forum and search it before signing in and look for a thread with the answer.
  19. broken link. http://www.npr.org/b...ou-re-a-chicken
  20. I was wondering how people are going about setting up their business. Are you simply freelancing or Doing Business As or created a Production/services company, something else? What would be the pros and cons of each... Thanks, V. Lazaro
