  1. Unfortunately, they do not since they use different chipsets. However, we are investigating ways to make them work together...
  2. Hey Victor, We will not be selling the patch antennas (at least not immediately), but they can certainly be used with these units.
  3. We havent done a head to head test yet so its hard to say. I would argue the reconnection time, quality of video, etc.. is as good or better.
  4. Hi Guys, I have some exciting news. Teradek is proud to announce the latest addition to our line of zero delay wireless video transmitters, the Bolt Pro 2000. Priced at $7990, BP 2000 offers up to 2000ft of range, 3G-SDI input + loop and outputs, and support for 1080p60. Like our current line of Bolt transmitters, BP 2000 has less than 1ms of delay, performs best when line of sight, and has a number of mounting options suitable for just about any camera rig. There will be limited quantity on hand when it begins shipping on December 16th. The preorder notification page can be found here: http://www.teradek.com/pages/bp2k-sign-up Let me know if you have any questions! Mike
  5. Hi Klaus, Sorry to hear about your experience! I looked, but I cannot find any information on a return unit from you. My guess is that your distributor lost or forgot about your unit. We track every device that comes back to us so it would be obvious if something got held up for months. Please shoot me an email with who you bought it from, when you sent it back, and if you have the serial numbers on your unit - mike [at] teradek.com. Speak soon!
  6. Hey Alan, Nope! We built that functionality 100% by ourselves.
  7. Brad, Do your products utilize Amimon chips? What band do they operate on? Are your point to point products H.264? Are your prices for pairs or just a single RX or TX?
  8. Another Bolt update! We now have our pairing utility ready. If you want to pair your own Bolt transmitters and receivers, pick up the software at the download link below: https://db.tt/odtCKJyd Its not 100% finalized, but it should work well. If you get stuck or need anything, please shoot me an email: Mike@teradek.com
  9. Hey Guys, Im doing a bit of research on who is using our Bolt and on what features it has been used on. I am also after some pictures of it in action (if possible) for an upcoming promotion we will be doing. If you'd like to share, please let me know via a message on this site or directly to my email: mike@teradek.com Thanks everyone! Looking forward to hearing about all the places Bolt has been!
  10. Hey Guys, If you're still interested in checking out the SDI Timecode passthrough, shoot me an email: Mike@teradek.com. We need a few more testers!
  11. Just a friendly update: All of our Bolt Pro units are on sale until September 9th. Discounts go up to 25% off. No, we are not coming out with a replacement for Bolt any time soon. This is our one and only sale event of the year so if you're in the market, don't miss it. We are also still sending out Timecode/Metadata pass through firmware for SDI Bolt units. If you're interested, ping me.
  12. Hey Everyone, Metadata / timecode / fan control firmware for the Bolt Pro SDI is now in open beta. If you are interested in giving it a shot, please send me a message with the serial numbers of your TX and RX. Please note this is still in beta so it will not be 100% perfect. You can reverse the upgrade if you like so this is not a permanent thing. There are a number of releases notes, but I will share those with you when I send the firmware. Hope you guys are as excited about this as I am! Email: Mike@teradek.com
  13. We're very excited about this new strategic partnership with The Stabilizer Workshops. I believe it will be a huge benefit to everyone involved. If anybody ever has questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me at any time. Mike Mike@teradek.com
  14. Thanks for the update Jean! Glad to hear everything was resolved.
  15. Hey Jean, Is your friend Bjorn? If so, im already chatting with him :)
  16. James, I believe anything above serial #72000873 will have most of the mods, but it isn't a for sure thing. I would have to manually check the device against our list of upgraded units. I understand the concern with heat, but as I mentioned earlier, we have had almost zero TX problems that were heat related. Its true the unit can get hot during a full day of use, but it will not affect performance.
  17. Hey Guys, Heat related issues with the Bolt TX are very rare. I do know it gets hot, but thats because we pull as much heat away from the PCB as possible and move it toward the metal chassis. James, the units you saw fail were likely not upgraded. We performed a number of modifications to the Bolt line (free of charge) that greatly enhanced the stability of the device. This includes a higher voltage tolerance (6-28V) and a few interference mitigation modifications (to enhance range and transmission stability). We've also adjusted some things with the battery.
  18. Metadata pass-through coming to Teradek Bolt systems

  19. For those of you wondering, if you have a revision D or F Bolt (i.e. you got your Bolt serviced recently), a simple firmware upgrade will be all you need to pass timecode, metadata, and record flags. Can't wait to release this to the public - will be available soon. If you're at NAB, come by our booth and say hello Booth #C9939
  20. Andrew, Did you send your Bolt in for the complimentary hardware updates? We've made some significant changes, including a new board with 6-28V tolerance.
  21. Everyone, We're looking for a couple of beta testers who have SDI workflows and are willing to provide us with some in-depth feedback starting next week. I can't get into details, but if you're interested please send me a message and ill get back to you shortly. Exciting things are coming!
  22. Hey Guys, Today we released an HDMI version of our Bolt Pro and regular Bolt systems. They are identical to the HD-SDI version except: 1. There is no looping HDMI input on the Pro series 2. There is only a single HDMI output on the receiver All new units, including HDMI Bolts, include all of our latest upgrades, which ensure optimal performance. You can mix and match HDMI / HD-SDI transmitters and receivers. However, these must still be paired at our facility prior to shipment (this may change in time). All Bolt transmitters purchased from today onward will have an upgraded voltage tolerance of 6-28V. If Bolt's current 6-16V range isn't enough for you, we're happy to update your unit. Please email sales@teradek.com for further information. And finally, since we understand so many of you are wondering what we have up our sleeves for NAB, we are now offering a 100% credit toward an upgraded unit 90 days after purchase (provided the unit is in like new condition). Just to be clear, im not saying we have anything new for Bolt, but just in case! ;) Hope to meet some of you at NAB this year!
  23. Frederic, We're doing our best to get these shipping labels out ASAP for the Bolt servicing. I've already spoken to the team here to expedite your label - keep an eye on your inbox today!
  24. If you guys are curious, we have a blog post on Facebook that goes into depth about the issue we discovered: https://www.facebook.com/Teradek
