  1. And to clarify, the specs have reverted to the original 6-16V on the website since that is what is being sold. The 6-28V was a typo that was supposed to be for the Receiver, which has always been 6-28V. I do not know what the voltage range will be for any updated versions in the future.
  2. The updated specs do reflect real world use of the Bolt. We are anticipating a new PCB down the line that will offer a larger voltage range than the current model. I do not have any more information available at this time - will keep you updated as I learn more.
  3. TeraCentral (the free iPad/iPhone app) will allow you to switch between multiple Cube feeds. The switching is not instantaneous, but you can swap between 2 or more feeds.
  4. The latest firmware update provides a fix for PsF compatibility issues with Transvideo monitors and others.
  5. Charles, Ive double checked with our hardware engineers and the flip over to the battery should be at voltages up to 17V, though he recommends the most that should hit the input is 16.7V. They've tested this in house to ensure this data is accurate. We've taken all of the comments on this forum and elsewhere into account and we are already working on fixes to these issues. If you'd like to have your battery removed, we can take it out as a special mod. Simply send us an email (info@teradek.com) and we can get the process started. As for voltage, we've already got something in the pipeline to address a higher tolerance. Ill keep you all up to date with any new info I get from our engineers as they come back from the holiday. Please keep the feedback coming, we really appreciate it.
  6. I believe the actual number is 16.8V. My information is likely a little less current than Chris' since I've been out of town for a bit so I would stick with what he says. When the battery runs down to near complete depletion, the transmission will begin to suffer. Ron, Bolt will work just fine with proper voltage from a cable even if the battery is depleted. If you have any technical questions, Chris in Support (support@teradek.com) is your best bet for a comprehensive answer.
  7. To clarify, anything above 17V or below 5V will ignore the DC input on Bolt and will make it run off the internal battery.
  8. David, Yes, we have tested up to 4 pairs working simultaneously in a small facility. You may also be able to squeeze more in depending on how far away you space them apart.
  9. Twojay: which light? The bottom light only turns on when your battery is extremely low - its red. William: Thanks for the info. Ill keep you posted as I learn more about the power issue.
  10. William, About how much power did you give the Bolt off your Anton Bauer? I imagine that could be the cause of the power failure.
  11. I believe powering both off battery and via a Lemo AC adapter. Testing usually goes for an hour or so.
  12. William, We do a burn in test for every Bolt before it ships. This includes powering the unit, running video, and testing range. Not sure what happened with your unit, but we will study it to discover exactly how this issue occurred.
  13. Hey William, I haven't heard of any issues at this time with Anton Bauers. Did you have a problem with yours? We can run a test today just to be sure.
  14. Twojay, sorry to hear about your experience. However, I am happy to show you the capabilities of Bolt if you'd like to come down to our office in OC sometime. I was not at Createasphere so I am unsure of how things were setup, but in my personal use of the product I get well over the distance you list and never see reconnection times passed 10 seconds. In fact, I walked the device around an entire hall @ IBC in the Netherlands (the NAB of Europe), and it never lost connection once. That is probably one of the most brutal environments for devices operating in the 5GHz realm and the Bolt held up like a champ. As for the delay, I can assure you that Bolt has nearly zero latency. You will only increase latency if you send the signal through convertors, non-pro monitors, or multiple pieces of hardware. We'll be at CCW in NYC tomorrow and Thursday - if you know anybody in the area, please send them over! With regard to the pre-order discount, your information is incorrect. All sign-ups on our pre-order list will receive a full featured Bolt, which means multicast, loop-through, Lemo (6-16V), Internal Li-Ion batt, etc... Whoever told you otherwise was simply misinformed. And again, the price for our pre-order clients will be $1990 for 1TX and 1RX. As for shipping times, I wil be sending an email out early next week with a link for purchase. We have a 30 day return policy so feel free to pick one up, test it out, and if its not for you, we'll gladly provide a refund. We believe in our products and that is why we offer such a policy on all of our units. I hope this clears some things up. All the best, Mike
  15. Hey Wolfgang, I've provided a clarification of what you have listed here on another thread: http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=16864&st=0&gopid=80785entry80785 The pricing and model descriptions are incorrect. Please refer to the link above for more information. As I mentioned before, everybody on our pre-order list will have the option to purchase the unit described on our website (fully loaded) at the price we first announced in September.
  16. Hey guys, I wanted to jump in here to clarify the alleged new prices for Bolt: What Wolfgang has posted is an older, unfinalized list of how the products will be sold. Not only are the prices incorrect, but the descriptions do not reflect the options that will be available when Bolt begins shipping in bulk. We will have the finalized pricing and models listed on our website at that time. For those of you on the pre-order list, you will be able to purchase the unit described on our website (fully loaded) at the price we first announced. :) http://www.teradek.com/pages/bolt-sign-up I know you guys are eager to test these things out. Hang in there - they're just about ready! It really will be worth the wait. All the best, Mike
