Brant is right. Howard is one of the most innovative guy out there, travels a lot and to top it off got his laptop stolen. Give him a chance ! I have never read or heard anything negative about Howard. I sent him emails for a quote request to which he didn't reply because his email system got updated or something in the meantime. Shit happens, and when it does you just cope with it. How hard is it to send another email or use the phone ? Personnaly I got answers to all my questions with this great little device... ;)

I've just completed the shooting of a rap clip. Way cool with lots of innovative shots - and very, very intense for me. At one point I was asked by the director to totally improvise the shot with the 2 rappers for the entire length of the song. While this was a fantastic way to improvise it just killed me. Luckily that was the end of the day and nothing else was planned after other than a little party. The next day I was a little bit stiff but it didn't bother too much as the only shots I had to do were in a wheelchair. Chasing a basketball player in a wheelchair in low mode is way cool, btw. I rested completely yesterday, and tonight I wanted to play a little bit with the rig. Guess what my right hip hurts. It hurts right on the articulation. I'm thinking that I'm still paying for that one particular shot, or is it a pain you guys live with and is common ? I didn't experience it with my first rig though... :blink:

Well, well, well, if you can't trust rental cars anymore, what can you trust ? We broke down in Belgium and Hertz took forever... And they put us back in a train to Paris. So, sorry for haven't been able to make it this time but I'm sure we'll get together some time soon... :(

Don't look that bad, we have a lot of pebbled streets in Paris that will twist your ankle in a blink of an eye. When flying I use a pair of Timberland hiking shoes that are fantastic : great feel and the heel is slanted. On flat surfaces I use Puma driving shoes. I think it's important to use the right pair of shoes when flying... Then the key is thorough recon WITH your assistant who will then guide you and advise you with a tap on a shoulder or anything you will discuss before the shoot. Careful planning will keep your hard earned cash safe...

So, ladies and gents, Sir Howard's booth is Hall 10, stand 123 ! See you there ! I will wear a Team Suzuki polo shirt, it's pretty flashy, can't miss it ! :ph34r:

On a lighter note, looking at the pictures, the only thing that seem to come close in terms of innovative engineering and build quality is a MotoGP such as Rossi's Yamaha or Hayden's Honda.... Just can't wait to see it the flesh in Amsterdam...

The ransom rate is pretty high... :P Just make sure that they provide you with some sort of security as it is a very lucrative business in Columbia. I've been there twice and I recommend you being extra street-smart, especially if you are American : you then become very valuable... I can't agree more on the girls, though... :rolleyes:

You might want to try Glidecam, there are like that on the Gold...

I'm not flaming anybody ! I just said that I never got any answer to my emails, I didn't say that when you sell $35000+ rigs you should be all ears to potiental new customers... Howard's rigs are top notch, and his engineering is probably second to none... I know that one day I will own an MK-V rig... After I finally get a quote ! :P

Charles, you're a great inspiration for us, it's always great to read your comments that make us want to work harder and harder at mastering the Noble Instrument... :)

Your selfmade rig seems to work pretty well ! The only way to improve and not to getting too much bad habits would be to take a workshop ! There's one in Paris in 3 weeks...
