  1. I have a Maxima 30 on a show in New Mexico; It's a remarkable piece of design and engineering. The first gimbal, as far as I can see, which was really designed for professional use. There are a dizzying number of settings for every type of response, so I encourage anyone who thinks he might use it to go to the open house. You can preset up to five menus with varying speed, following, etc. If you're switching from on board to remote control in the middle of a shot, you can do so without delay. The one I have is a demo and does not have the quick release for the camera, but that will be available on the next run.
  2. I'm going to withdraw this. I had planned to clear the deck--and my finances--for the Maxima 30, but I realize I'm going to need both that and my old friend, the Steadicam. So, it's no longer available, but I still am. Thanks, and regards to all. Chris Squires.

  4. Betz Rig with Transvideo monitor, assorted power cables for Arri, Red, Epic, Preston. Also includes bracket for Preston MDR. The Betz Rig has a great electronic level, located in the top stage--where it should be--which will works with the Transvideo, and with HD or Standard Definition. Has fine adjustments for speed, direction, zeroing. Has extremely solid top stage, so well designed it is now being used on the Pro. The Rig also has a motorized bottom stage, for quick dynamic balancing, and extremely flexible battery configurations, both in number and placement of batteries. There is a laser used to line up bottom and top stages. Gimbal is great, on a par with Pro or XCS. All in excellent lightly used condition. In a fitted aluminum case. $ 22,000 310-463-5706

  6. Like new Kenyon gyros. Two K6 gyros, one K4, all like new, with Kenyon inverter, and cables, in fitted aluminum case. Gyros are wired so that power will cascade from one to another, no need for separate power cables. K4 has a 1/4 20 thread which will screw directly into the bottom of smaller digital cameras. New price from Kenyon is about $6800. For sale for $4500. 310-463-5706 or kinocam@earthlink.net
  7. Used Steadicam vest for sale. This is a Uni vest, made in Italy. It's an improved version of the earlier Steadicam vest, well made, leather back and shoulder components, tightening ratchets, guides so that waist section doesn't ride up, quick release. Center plate is aluminum, easily adjustable, positive lock for arm mounting. Easy to change height and side to side mounting of arm. $1500 310-463-5706
  8. Rod, that sounds good. I just have to check with my friend to see where he is staying, etc. I'm out of town for a few days too, so I'll get back to you later this coming week. Thanks, Chris

  9. Rod, I am interested in the case; I need a light case, however the cost of shipping and re-foaming is high. I might be able to get a friend who is working in Toronto to bring it down the next time he comes home. In that case, would you be willing to take $150 and drop it off at his hotel? Let me know. Thanks, Chris.

  10. Hi Rod, if it doesn't have dings in it after 15 years it must be hardened. Does it have any dings, does it close easily, seals well?I'll have to refoam it, I think, so let me see what that will cost. Thanks, Chris

  11. I'm trying to put together a rig; is all the wiring standard? I have to check with GPI for cost on remaining pieces. Thanks, Chris

  12. I might be interested in your case. Is it hardened aluminum? What would be the cost to ship to Los Angeles? Thanks, Chris

  13. Steve, I'm interested in your Technovision head. Are you in Los Angeles?
