Purchased this arm from Hugo in August 2014 and it has never been outside. It's in almost perfect condition, barely used. No dings or dents. My AB battery plate has a wire that came undone and I assume it connects to the part on the back plate. Any advice on how I would get this back in? There's no slot for the end to go in, so if it does connect to the back plate, would it need to be soldered on?

Can you take a wider and maybe brighter photo - looking at this on my small phone makes it look like a black blob

I have a ProVid docking bracket that I use, but it may just be a screw replacement that you need. Here's a photo of the screw in the balancing stud I took out. Really low grade crappy screw. Can you post a pic of your problem? The docking bracket itself is 1/2" thick aluminum, so it doesn't sound like that bent.
