  1. How does one monitor a 3D set up on a steadicam. I suppose there is only one camera video feed. Is it the one in the left or in the right ? If so, how is the paralax error compensated? Alexandre
  2. How about the springy feel of an over tensioned arm for a floaty.
  3. Alec The arm that I built uses extension springs. I unscrew all the way the ones I do not need to use. They are not placed in canisters. Alexandre
  4. Thank you Michael and Charles for claryfing. I have recentely custom built an arm and I am willing to accomodate cameras like the HVX 200 and heavier ones such as Betacams and lighter 35mm. From my tests so far the cross section would allow for the two light springs to be tensioned slightly and the heavier springs were disabled which suficed for a DVX 100 with the aid of a heavier camera plate adapter made of steel instead of alu.

    GPI ARM

I have learnt it is possible to combine light, medium and strong springs in the GPI arm to accomodate different camera set ups. Cool. How are they placed as to obtain the optimum tension? for instance are they placed in cross section or two in each section, the front and the rear . Thanks Alexandre
  6. I believe www.steadishots.org people would be glad to host it. Alexandre
  7. Hi Alejandro, I intend to place bearings in both places. The gimbal was was done in a CNC. Btw. where do you live in Buenos Aires, I have some friends from there(River Plate supporters) Alexandre Lucena
  8. That is what I am refering to Charles. BTW does anyone know the specs of the bearings used within the curved pipe ?
  9. I am looking for an used or even damaged socket block(male and female) to upgrade my arm.
  10. Hi to everyone, First time posting. It seems some stabilizers do and others don't have bearings within the curved pipe section where the arm's pin enters. If is that the case, does it make much difference?
