  1. Hello All,

I ran into this as well with my MKV- Chris Konash ( www.eastcoastcables.com ) -solved the problem by making a jumper at the base of my V2 electronics and using the AR lines up the sled to run two 12volt lines up. He then made a "Y" cable at the top to power the camera. Everything is 12 volt on the camera so tell the AC to have a Cinetape cable that is for 12v. Otherwise I have had great run life on both Powercubes and AB HC's.

    Regards,

    Alan

  6. Hey Philip,

I made a slavecam out of wood at a workshop in Maine.

    2 full sheets of 3/4 ply and 10 2x4's 8' long.

I married the 2x4's in pairs to make 5 4x4 handles.

One sheet of ply on top and the other on the bottom. The 4x4's came out of the 4' side of the ply sandwich equally to make handles .

Then we all got together (10 people) and lifted our op and talent up about 3' in the air...

This lasted 20 to 30 seconds before the faces turned red and we lowered them down again.

    One take .

-if you can make it though to the end that is when the slavecam comes into play. 4:00 till the end.

We all had fun making it and Paul was surprised at the Friday night showing even though he was in it...

  9. cold brooklyn piers at night ...

I find the deer skin or goat skin glove works good. Remove what tips you need to feel comfortable with sissors. Tennis tape on the gibal. The trick I like is to take the small shake up hand warmers and tape them (black paper tape-see dolly grip) to my wrist so the blood going to my hands is warmed and the warmers are mostly out of my way.

or a campfire is always nice ...
