  1. Hey Ed, nice to see the grip installation worked =) As Libor sais, 10Lbs for everything on the top stage - however on the pilot, that number officially includes any merlin weights you use, too if I remember well. You can bust that limit at times until your arm maxes out without doing any damage, but don't do so regularly. Happy Flying =)
  2. Still for Sale, and another price reduction :) CanaTrans Global Edition 1W PAL / NTSC UHF Video Transmitter: $1,200 Tandem VHF/UHF Video Receiver: $1,200 Both: USD 2200 Or make an offer!
  3. The tiny size and light weight of the Redrocks receiver is tempting for certain applications - but this certainly doesn't sound like it's any good - for now. Thanks David, your review and the fact that it doesn't seem to be very tolerant on power input just kept me from pulling the trigger on one for my new Ronin gimbal I'm testing out on with my Steadicam arm and sled.
  4. Hi All, due to an upgrade I'm selling my upgraded Zephyr sled. Its the perfect medium sized rig, and being sold as sled only, this might be the perfect opportunity to get a lightweight running rig for somebody. The Zephyr is a really nice, lightweight and easy to dynamic balance sled that carries cameras up to 10.5 kgs. With it's double rod base, and the option of adding merlin weights it's very flexible in terms of inertia and weight distribution. It's in great shape, and was new 2 years ago. Since I bought it, is has been very good to me, and I have returned that with good care and careful handling. Everything is tight, no vibrations. The Gimbal is perfectly centered. Also, this one has the upgraded post clamps, so no worries about one snapping on you in the wrong moment. It includes a brand new gimbal wrap grip and custom cg monitor yoke - both with your name embossed if you like. The wrap grip gives you greatly enhanced feeling and precision, and the CG monitor yoke will just make your life so much easier when tilting the monitor without affecting balance, or going to low mode in seconds without cumbersome unscrewing and remounting the monitor. It saves weight, too. Of course the original monitor mount will be included as well, as a perfect accessory mount on the rods. I have used this with my Exovest, so have sold the original vest a long time ago, and I'm not selling the arm right now, so this is a great sled to add to your package as a running rig, or if you're looking for a full system, you could get a vest and arm somewhere else, or even new and still get a nice deal. Comes with: Zephyr HD Sled (HD since factory new, so has HD wiring), V-Mount battery version Marshall 7" XHB Monitor - original "Steadicam" branded Docking Bracket & Dovetail plate Upgraded Monitor CG Yoke Gimbal Wrap Grip Merlin weights All originally included accessories and cables (4-Pin XLR topstage power cable included as well) The pictured C-Stand, V-Mount battery and Wagner Digital Horizon are not included. It's yours for EUR 4000,- plus shipping (plus VAT if you're in Germany). Feel free to make a reasonable offer. If you're interested, please send me a PM, reply to this thread or email me at my gmx address heliflight at gmx dot net. I'm happy to send more and bigger pics by email of course. Thanks for looking :)
  5. Hi Michael, yes, those black, screw caps are exactly what you're looking for. For the size I dontmknow itmrit now, but you could either measure your screw, or just order a few around your estimated size, as they cost next to nothing. To fit to your screw, just press fit it using a bench vise.
  6. Pictures as promised. You can see that even the protective cover is still on the LED display - it never bothered me as it is very, very bright and sunlight-readable. So no scratches on the display guaranteed :)
  7. Hi, Due to experimenting with different solutions, I no longer need my Wagner Horizon. It is an awesome tool, and I loved using it a lot! It's probably the best independent gyro-compensated digital level out there right now, and the LED display is made for our very needs as Steadicam Operators. Please find all info at: http://www.tiffen.com/steadicam_whm.html I bought it new less than a year ago from Betz Tools in Germany for EUR 579 plus VAT. It's essentially new, has no real signs of use, and comes in its original Packaging with all accessories. Pictures will follow. Asking EUR 500,- plus shipping (plus VAT if you're in Germany). If interested, please PM, answer this thread, or email me at my gmx address heliflight -at- gmx -dot- net Thanks for looking :)
  8. I'm really happy to hear that you guys like your grips, thanks so much for all the positive feedback! A lot of design work, fitting and testing went into these, so I'm very glad you appreciate the fit and feel! While I fully recognize that the fitting is a bit tricky, I'm sure the benefits of the fully round 1-part design without any unnecessary gaps at your fingertips is worth the extra 10 Minutes of installation. Until now, we could fit it to every Pilot, even the HD versions with the shorter cables. I have assisted buyers with installation via facetime and Skype and will be available for that to everyone who has questions installing theirs, or just wants my personal reassurance that it is rugged, and if you did manage to break the grip during installation, I can safely offer you a new one for free (as of now that was never necessary  ) Thanks guys!
  9. 3rd Axis Module SOLD, thanks :) 2-Axis head still available for USD 4000 - or make a reasonable offer!
  10. Also, a price reduction: CanaTrans Global Edition 1W PAL / NTSC UHF Video Transmitter: $1,400 Tandem VHF/UHF Video Receiver: $1,400 Both: USD 2700
  11. As promised, pictures of the whole kit, as well as what comes with either the Canatrans or the Tandem. As you can see, there are pretty much no signs of use on either of them :)
  12. BTTT 2-Axis head USD 4000,- 3rd Axis USD 1900,- Both as a package USD 5500. If interested please answer, PM, or email to my gmx address: heliflight a-t gmx d-o-t net Will happily ship worldwide, please ask for costs.
  13. I can only second Charles post, less is more with batteries, for all the reasons mentioned. And for the atomos, I do exactly what Alan suggested, as the atomos devices can handle non-standard voltages (i.e. 12V plus, a fully charged v-mount or the like) on their sony battery ports. If you wire the adapter for direct connection however, don't use it for other standard NP-F devices without checking first, as it might just kill them! Also I'd like to add, that if you're on a budget and can live with SD monitoring (your Monitor has a CVBS in, too), I second the suggestion of using the AV out - for the most part in the beginning this should be just fine. If your camera doesn't have an SD AV out, this little guy http://www.amazon.com/Etekcity%C2%AE-Composite-Video-Audio-Converter/dp/B008FO7PQA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1405776417&sr=8-3&keywords=Hdmi2av will convert hdmi to av reliably and (at least mine does) without any power input, other than what comes through the hdmi cable itself. Also, it's dirt cheap, tiny and lightweight, so easy to rig.
  14. I'm selling my Canatrans & Tandem pair, as I mostly need an HD Link these days. For range and reliability in Wireless Video, the Canatrans is the absolute Gold Standard as you will know. This is the rare Gobal Edition, that does both PAL and NTSC I have used this set only once or twice, it's practically new, as you will see in the pictures. It comes with all original accessories, manuals, and both sets of antennas, as well as 3 different power cables, and international A/C adapter see below. Please find more info here: http://lentequip.com/products/canatrans-video-transmitter http://lentequip.com/collections/wireless-video/products/tandemtm-uhf-receiver Current Prices: Global Canatrans $2,195.00 Tandem $2,995.00 Power Cables: Anton Bauer P-Tap $160.00 USD 4 pin XLR 12V $160.00 USD Arri 3 pin Fischer R/S 24V $160.00 USD Thats a total value of USD 5670,- Asking USD 3800 for the whole set, or 1500 for the Global Edition Canatrans with the power cables and 2300 for the Tandem with A/C Adapter Offers welcome! If interested, please PM, Answer this thread, or email to my gmx account: heliflight [at] gmx [dot] net Pictures will follow soon.
  15. Hey Cristina, try Robin Thwaites at Tiffen UK, he'll be able to help you and is based in the UK. However the plugs look fairly standard, have you tried connecting the BNC cable (bigger one of the 2 connectors) to the HD-SDI in and the power-plug to the power-in of the monitor? Not sure 100% from the photos if the power plug fits, but the BNC one should fit, that much is obvious. The for the HDMI-Part you would either need to run an external HDMI line down to your monitor or just get an HD-SDI converter from the C100 to the topstage (I dont know the C100, but doesn't it have an HD-SDI out?) Good Luck =)
  16. Hey Cristina, Could you by any chance post a picture of the mentioned connector, and the cables that are already plugged into the monitor (if any) ? The monitor on the scout should be wired for both power and video by default, and you should only need cables to connect your camera to the topstage.
  17. Thank you for your kind words and your awesome photos Jamie, those are very, very cool! Enjoy your upgrades, glad you like them =)
  18. One is sold, the like-new kit pictured above is still for sale. New price: EUR 2000,- plus shipping (plus VAT, if you're in Germany)
  19. Pics of the 2-Axis kit. As you can see, both upright and underslung mounting is possible, on any Mitchell mount. Also included is the often missing and rare dutch angle bracket. What is not pictured is the tiedown Knob and the flight case, but those of course are included. If the 3-Axis set is split up, the flight case goes with the 2-Axis head (obviously).
  20. As promised some pictures :) Pics of the full 3-Axis Kit: (What is not pictured is the tiedown knob and the flight case, but those of course are included.)
