  1. Riverdance . . . . . . sounds fun . . . . .LOL . . . . 4 feet high is perfect, no baracade even better and I am assuming the crowd will be pretty tame so you won't need security with you and they won't be in your way fending off stage divers. Your biggest worry is staying out of the way of the other cameras since the stage is so low. You should have an AC, Grip or utility with you depending on the type of show you have going on to watch your back and or coil cable for you. good luck
  2. Alex, What's the gig? Where is it at? What camera? What lens? These are questions that will tell you the kind of crowd around you? How much space you'll need or get from production, will there be a security barricade ? If so you'll need an extra 2 feet because of how the barricade is built. Where it's at may dictate the stage height or amount of people in the pit with you The camera and lens are obvious questions but for this kind of show are tethered or not tethered? I have done tons of this and having a tilt stage is not necessary a luxury but not necessary. Just adjust your sled for the tilt needed to the stage your working with you may even have to go almost neutral if the stage is really high If you have anything more specific feel free to hit me up

  7. Colin you may have stripped it Send it in Otherwise try a flat head and turn it all the way one direction and that should stop the chattering
  8. Colin You may stripped it but try a flat head and turn it all the way to one side That should correct the jitter If it doesn't turn send it in
  9. Its a really cool and small unit and even on their publication it says Optional cable and powering options, so connectors are not an issue. I'm looking forward to trying it out
  10. After Playing with it today All of the guys at their booth agreed that it was absurd that it is even being touted as a steadicam replacement. I agree that there definitely is a place for this tool and the technology is only going to get better and better. It will be fun to see where it will go and how we can adapt it to fit all of our creativity.
  11. Congrats on your purchase or future purchase But if you live in LA, just tell them that you want it to be done with California Production Tax instead of the current sales tax. They have the paperwork there. Its 3 or 5 percent instead of the 9 percent. As long as your living and using it in California your good. Hope that helps JM2C
  12. Thanks Josh, Checked it out yesterday, it does look pretty darn good in the daylight and plenty sharp. perfect size and perfect weight. I couldn't get it to flip the image, can it do that? I'm heading to NAB Tuesday with prayers to get my hands on the small HD 7" High Bright they promised would be there. BTW: Transvideo's new 7" HB monitor has lower specs than the new BON, I'm really dissapointed by that. =(

    Louis, your link doesn't work
  14. Alan, just go to Pacific radio and buy the crimpers & cutter. Then decide on what gage wire and they give you the proper bnc ends to fit Maybe $200
  15. Haven't seen the new 7" Cinetronic yet The new lower profile unit But I'm just looking for a second day bright monitor for my back up rig. My V rig already has a great way too expensive monitor on it
  16. Reset the the calibration of the gear in your Stanton handle It's a small pot towards the bottom of the handle Set it all the way to one side and for some reason it goes away Also check the pins in your power cable especially if your powering through a 4 pin Hirose
  17. As I was supposed to already have a smallHD 7" high bright in my possession needless to say I am bummed , they will have some at NAB or at least one . But production models are not expected to be out until June. ={ Looking at the BON high bright 7" now
  18. i'm hoping to get there on Thursday the 11th, I may fly in go to the show and fly out that night on the last flight, I'm working before and after the show Allen, if your working with Small HD, there's money in it to make their 7" demo monitor disappear . . . . LOL maybe see some of ya there
