  1. Hey Mike, I like that truck, . . .! I was going to go through ZAP.com as well but apparently they were making claims that were not correct , or something along those lines . . .they are in a law suit I heard . . . In any case maybe next year I'll take out my little 3 liter engine and replace it with 10,000 cell phone batteries in series and vroom off we go . . . . .LOL . . . .
  2. Hey guys, Thanks for even reading, who new it would even evoke a conversation . . .I posted to help out the FS Pro guys and clear my conscience. I guess I'm just a swell fella . . . .LOL . . .Ya . . .Ya . . .Wilson thats right, I said fella! And Ewin . . . You words "My cart costs more then that unit..." LOL . . . your cart costs more than my new Smart Car . . . .LOL . . . . . anyway . . .Jerry well said, look forward to getting into trouble with you in Italy If the schedual permits
  3. Considering a fill-up on the Hummer now is around $130 I'm definitely jealous at the pumps! That's right . . . $29.50 all filled up Chris I'll be up your way tomorrow, Tribune with all the gear in the little Smahty
  4. Hey Nathan, all of the above, and as Mike mentioned, once you get in, be careful what you wish for you may just get it but not with out consequences, like if you work too much the wife will no longer want you around . . .LOL . . . . Hence the reason we take working vacations to Italy . . .LOL . . . Good Luck Fly Safe
  5. Nice Collin . . . .very strong!
  6. Dude, You need to take a man pill! LOL Torch Thanks Chris . . . .I have a brand new bottle that Garret gave to me from Dave Rhea Hows Kimmel?
  7. Yes it goes on the highway, top speed 90-100 MPH, not great sprinting power but good enough, I wouldn't want to tow anything with the giant 3 cylinder motor . . .LOL . . .and as for the cart, the cases have wheels but they ride on the stand base which also has wheels . . . Ok . . .OK . . .the truth is I bought one of Erwins old cases and put a 3 cylinder motor in it and this is what I came out with . . . .LOL . . . . I know you guys are all secretly jeoulous . . .LOl . . . .
  8. Really, . . . . Afton, you really want the specs? . . .LOL . . . 2008 Mercedes Smart Car 3 Cylinder 40-50 MPG I can't tell you how much I am being mocked at work for driving this vehicle, but I don't care its fun and very economical and it fits me and my stuff I know Robert and Ron are going to come drive over it with their big Hummers . . .
  9. Ok . . .OK . . .for all of you from Europe, Canada, Mexico . . .ETC . . . .this car is not new to you, but here in USA we finally got it. I test drove it with my gear in it a year ago and now its in my garage, all $15,000 of it . . . .LOL . . . .40-50 MPG It's just me and my gear, all three cases fit with my stand and sand . . . . Less is more!!
  10. Hey Ron, I originally though Sprint sucked, but it was five years ago when I went over to them when the i500 phone came out and I have been really happy . . . .Now I have to go to AT&T . . .argh . . . .or do I? Anyone know how to get the iphone unlocked ?
  11. Yeah, but that thing was gigantic! Even bigger than the Treo! The i500 is a Palm flip phone that isn't much bigger than a Razr. OK, I'll stop lobbying for it now... SprintruledVerizonsucks Hey Brad, Not sure if I got back to you, again way of topic, but thank you for the offer for the i-500 phone, if mine goes south before I figure out how to use the i-phone with Sprint you'll be the first call
  12. Alan, Did you cough after that bong hit . . . .LOL . . . . Yes of course it's meatloaf again . . . .Da !
  13. Wow, Lars, way nice ! I'm not an Archer owner but definitely dig the mods . . .Collin if you read this, DO IT!
  14. Hey Guys, I recieved an email from the owner of the FS Pro Stabilize system in response to a post that happened awhile back, the thread was http://www.steadicamforum.com/forums/index...3&hl=FS+Pro --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am enclosing his email and my response to him: So upfront, I appologise to anyone who was offended by the original post It was a slip of the finger with the word Toy and again, hopefully , all is good in the world! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- His email to me said: -----Original Message----- From: FS PRO <contact@fsprostab.com> To: RobVski@aol.com Sent: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 8:03 pm Subject: FS PRO Frédéric Savard Hi mister Vuona, I would like to know why say you false things about our system of stabilization. It is by far a toy and it surpasses a lot of stabilizer on the market at this price. He gets closer largely to the steadicam brand and surpasses glidecam easily. I am disappointed that an Operator of steadicam supposed professional say hypocrisies without ever having seen a system in question. Be impartial and honest if you can! We sell it worldwide. And let us have never had negative comment I would like to meet you personally. Call me! Sorry for my bad english. Sincere greeting! Frédéric Savard FS PRO 1 877 204 6556 Toll free ------------------------------------------------------------- and my response was: Hello Mr. Savard, I appologise for making you believe that I was saying your product was a toy, but if you read the thread again regarding the FS Pro, I started my statement with "Just my two cents" meaning just in my opinion . . . .! I believe all of these 5-20lb rigs have incredible engineering and yours is no acception but unfortunately not all great engineering makes a great stabilizing system. I am happy to hear that in your opinion your system far surpasses that of the Glidecam. but again it is only in your opinion, I am sure if you ask Glidecam their opinion would be the opposite. You are absolutely correct when you say that I have never seen it in person, so the only conclusion I could make is via the pictures posted on your web site. Again, I appologise for using the word "TOY" it is clearly not a toy, and very well may be the best stabilized rig in it's price range, but in my opinion saving your money and spending a little more for a used rig with more growth potential seems to be a smarter way to go. Hopefully this clears it up . . . If there is a unit in the United States I would love to demo the unit and give it a complete evaluation and share all of the details with the rest of our community Peace Out Rob "Operator of steadicam supposed professional" Vuona
  15. As if it has never gone the opposite direction ??? That away Robert get us back on track . . . . . accept you guys all missed the point, it was all about being on a break and surfing the forum she just wanted my attention because i broke out my camera . . . . .LOL . . . .
  16. Hey Guys, Not to knock Mike or Boland because Lord knows we all want one of these 6.5" monitors, but that is exactly the same thing they have said to me 2.5 years ago . . .and then again a year ago. I met with Mike at NAB and he said maybe one day the 6.5" will be developed but the supply and demand is just not there to justify getting 10-50,000 LCD screens cut to that size. Honestly I hope this isn't the case and it gets made asap . . . Rob "still crossing his fingers" Vuona
  17. Hey James, Bo Baraniak and I have been discussing this Boland topic now for what I think is three years, so Ya, if you get some new updated info regarding the actual productiion date of this monitor let us know !
  18. Joe, If you can get your hands on the NON existing, 6.5" HD/SDI/NTSC Boland monitor we would all be impressed. Three years in the waitng for Mike to deliver on that 6.5" unit . . . . Unfortunately for all of us he hasn't produced any that we know of . . . .his 8.4" units are out and are pretty awesome so I'm told. If you know something we don't please enlighten us?!!
  19. That is by far the coolest, and smallest, Palm based phone ever made! I have one on my desk in front of me. Unfortunately, I also have a Treo 700 charging right next to it (had to switch providers, and Verizon doesn't support the i500). I think you just need to download (and pay for) a text program to insure that you can identify who's texting you. If that doesn't work and you need a new phone, contact me and we'll see if mine works for you. You can have it if you need it. I really miss using mine! Brad, thanks for the offer, Everyone makes fun of me for sticking with the i-500 phone, including Robert . . .LOL . . .but like you said, it's still the coolest Palm Phone ever! But . . . .it has been failing me lately and both batteries are now held on with Gaf tape . . .I have to sync it every week in fear of losing data . . . .I'm trying to hold out but it's getting harder and harder. What program is it that would allow me to see the information on my text messages. I have a program that allows me to respond but it's way involved and antiquated . . .I can't believe I'm having this conversation . . .LOL . . .hahahahahaha Rob "Unwilling to Cave" Vuona
  20. Hey Rob, that was me looking for someone to cover four days for me here in Vegas this week... Dan Coplan took it. Time to pony up Rob and join the rest of us Apple drones! Ya . . .Ya. . . .Ya. . . .I know, but AT&T . . . .why, God why, why can't we have it all?????
  21. Hey Rob, If you need a break, ie a day off I'll be in LA all summer !!! ;) Andrew Was that you who text me the other day . . . .I have a software glitch and I get my messages but it doesn't tell me who or what number it is from . . . . .LOL . . . Ya so what about my antiquated i-500 Samsung Palm Phone . . .I still like it ok . . . don't make fun . . . I'll keep you in loop . . . Welcome back to the warmer coast
  22. Call Jeff Zachery . . . He's all 3-D all the time . . . . 760-321-9596
  23. Howard said it was true and all stocked up with parts. . . .But he hasn't given up the address. Hopefully he will soon I guess ?
  24. Yo Bry, Your flying the EFP right? what are you tring to make and for what, I may be able to help?
  25. Chris, Do you really think my wife is going to let me go to Italy alone and hang out with you trouble makers and not stay a week after the class . . . . and travel around Italy . . . Maybe I'll go look up some distant family over on the other side of the boot . . .LOL . . . Save me a spot, I'm trying to get my schedual in order to be able to get away . . . As Charles said, in one ofthe other posts, it's always cool to see how the other side of our industry works. Rob "Hopeing to visit my roots in Italy" Vuona
