  1. -------------- Jeff what are you looking for maybe I can get them for you from my guy out here . . .
  2. ----------- Hey Charles, I was just over on that set five minutes ago . . . . .It's the smaller oval office set apparently . . .and the Translight is a duplication so beware of that through the windows . . . .way too funny that I actually know about that . . . Ummm Oh ya . . . . . I won't be here tomorrow or Saturday thankfully . . .! , I got here at 10:30 this morning and yes we are still here shooting . . . Maybe next time, I'll be over at Culver studios next week though . . .
  3. ------------ All but one of us that I can think of have FM vest and The Pro seems to be the vest of choice, Guru Muhlstock and Eastwood claim they are nothing short of remarkable and nothing else should be used . . . .But as Mr. Wilson says, his affection for whacking lights would only be enhanced by the extra width of the BM . . . .But the bottom line is whatever works for you and keeps you doing your job the best way possable without injury is the way to go. Keep the BM and the FM for back up Live gigs like concerts are a dream if they are only two hours . . . .You are forgetting about the 4 hours prior of rehearsal in the vest . . . .Thats why my "76 Cadillac" with new padding and buckles still serves me fine. Oh and last week the conclusion of another show that I won't mention went a record breaking 20.5 Hours Needless to say I have never done more hours in my vest and still all was good with my back. My new hockey league starts next week so I'll let you know how my back feels after that . . .LOL . . .
  4. --------------- Tell him that's how Mr. Muhlstock does it ! . . .LOL . . . .
  5. ----------- Hey Joshua, So my story goes, I went over to GPI and spoke to George regarding getting fitted with a Pro Vest and his recomendation was, why fix your vest that you are using if it works and it doesn't hurt, and Walter was the same so the moral of the story goes . . . .whatever works for you ! My circles say Pro Vest are the way to go, but all you Film Guru's swear by the back mount . . . . I'm sticking to my FM "76 cadillac" the nickname for my vest
  6. ---------------- Yo Brian, I'm in Hollywood over at Renmar Studios Stage 6 and will be here unfortunately until at least 10pm . . . I have a low mode bracket if that's what you need, you are more than welcome to borrow it. My suggestion is do as the guru Mr. Muhlstock says flip it first fix it in in post, otherwise build it tonight, then build it again that way your comfortable tomorrow in front of the client. That camera is a very manageable weight so as much as I don't love low mode it very doable with that camera. All the best Rob "On a five minute break" Vuona 310-993-0667
  7. ------------- Ya Jess, Have fun shooting with the BL4, then have fun hanging out with your chiropracter . . .that camera sucks to shoot with . . . .Go with an HD video Camera quite and affordable . . . .whats the quote? Tape is cheap, fix it in post . . . .The editors love that one . . .LOL . . . Best of luck
  8. ---------------------------- Hey there Kash, I would take Steves advice with the SK, and as the luck would have I have one that I just rebuilt, I wasn't considering selling it but I could be persuaded. Call me or email me off the forum @ Robvski@aol.com and I can send you some pictures. I added all kinds of goodies . . .
  9. You bet. I´m a medium! -------------- Alright . . . Fine there will be a whole line of t-shirts with all the different quotes . . . . How many pre-orders do I have ? S,M,L,XL, and XXL for you big operators Oh . . . I guess I'll be going into the T-shirt making business since I have had 4 days off this month and i need to fill those days doing something . . . .!?!?! Thanks for the all the quotes I am brain storming design Ideas . . . .
  10. --------------- Brian, Call Terry West 310-374-5711 . . . . I had him custom rewire my EFP along with adding an HD/SDI line down the post. He has the pin outs and the info for the Archos . . . .
  11. ------------ Hey Chris, T-Shirts are being printed as we speak . . .LOL . . . . Seriously . . .Can I use that
  12. Rob.... my pleasure... consider it done! Email me your address and I'll pick some up for you. Then you can tweak people when they ask "what's the red screw for?". Ohhh..... don't touch the red screw... ------------- Robert, Way cool Red Capped Ones . . .Thanks for sending them . . .and the grey ones too, Now I just need to figure out which pattern I want to put them on my vest . . .LOL . . . Thanks again Now the three half broken ones on my vest will look all shiny and new like Glitzy vegas Style!
  13. Hey Andrew, Ya . . .it solved the problem . . . . I bought a couple of Kip Handled wedges from Tiffen and all is good in the world If for some reason that doesn't solve it .. . .default to Jerry's fix . . . he's the guru!
  14. --------------------- Yo Andrew, This used to happen to me with my EFP . . . .Get a new Kip Handle to replace the knob or even go to the local hardware store and get a new plastic knob with 3 points for leverage. Good Luck
  15. --------------------------- I gotta Party with you Janice . . . .LOL . . . . Sell one to your AC . . . . . Thanks for the morning laugh
  16. ------------ Thanks for the response Peter, I do agree with you regarding the Pro Topstage, I was just wondering if anyone had any used half destroyed type stuff . . .Ya if i am going to rebuild new it would most likely be a pro , just anything would be better than the EFP top satge, I just hate readjusting on the fly and having to unlock it everytime although . . .FYI all of you I had a nice conversation with the guys from Steadyrigs in Aus. and there topstage will be ready and in production runs in 11 months . . . and theirs looks pretty awesome
  17. -------------------- Let's Face it Dan, the answer is that your obviously allergic to doing Hand Held !! . . . . I say it the 3 sss Smoke, Sweat and Stress , stop stressing over the shoot and you won't sweat and then go oputside during the breaks to get out of the smoke . . . Ya . . Ya . . .Ya . . .get your eyes checked if your diopter is turned all the way to one side or the other .. .it's time to get the Peepers checked
  18. ------------ Hey Jon, Who's camera are you using . . .? I sooo want to see them, Oh and call me BTW I have some other questions for you
  19. A local commercial hardware store here in Vegas has them in a variety of colors for less than .40 cent each: McFadden-Dale Hardware 4477 West Reno Ave Las Vegas, NV 89118 Wk: (702) 251-8059 Fx: (702) 251-8903 ---------------------- Colors . . . . .? . . .Cool . . .I'll take six Red Capped ones please . . .They don't make them in colors down here. . . .Thats glitzy Vegas for ya!
  20. --------------- Tiffen Has them or McMaster
  21. ------------ Those Operators were Manny Bonilla and Dave Eastwood, multicamera with Fiber attached
  22. This is so frustrating, for over a year now Transvideo, Boland, Marshall have been talking about A Hi Brite HD/SDI LCD "coming soon", but still nothing is ready. ----------- Hey Bo, Good to see your back on the monitor boat . . .I second that frustration . . .I had long conversations with Transvideo and Boland along with some others out in Vegas at NAB regarding these issues and it basically comes down to supply and demand. Transvideo seems to be the only one gearing anything close for Steadicam. Unfortunately they haven't included NTSC into that new monitor "Yet" and as far as daybright I think it only 400 nit but it does have some antiglare film in the screen. Hope all is well with you
  23. Hey, if any of you pack rats out there want to get rid of a master top stage or something equivelent I am looking to replace the top of my EFP . . . Let me know . . . . Thanks
  24. Ya . . .ya . . . .ya. . . you guys have to remind me . . .Sat. Night someone broke my drivers side window and reached in and stole my Magelin GPS and the dumb asses didn't even take the charger that was plugged in . . . .I know I'm the dumb ass for leaving it suctioned to the F!@#%^ windshield. I guess it's time to go get another one Can't they just punch in the serial code and track where it is, I mean it's already being tracked right? Rob "Just a little bitter" Vuona
  25. ----------- I'll give you the name of the guys that own and built the Crane, they'll fly you around all day long . . . .and I agree . . . .wicked fun . . .!!
