Job;
That was I. We were in the park shooting a tv show called White Collar, and had a wonderful chat with a delightful camera assistant who had just finished a commercial here.
-
Pete;
Maybe I'm missing something, but why not sell them with both 19 and 15 rods?
-
In an effort to get rid of things I no longer use, I have left:
1 - 2" Gorlok ring for a Gorlok 2.
1 - XCS Gimbal Sleeve for a 2" post. You get the XCS Gimbal and save on the sleeve.
1 - XCS Frame line generator. Fantastic FLG with great options.
If you are interested in any of these things feel free to give me a call, text or send me an email with a reasonable offer.
Thanks
Jamie

1 - XCS 2" post clamp without gyro spud. great for use with an XCS Dual Rod Monitor Support Arm $200.00

I would like to know where I can get posts that adapt from the wider Master arm into the yoke of the Pro sled.
Hey Rod;
I had Rob Luna make some for me a million years ago. He did a great job. Made them from Short to very long.
Hope all is well with you

Steve;
I'd love to take a look at the landing pad. Do you have one circulating around NYC. After this last F35 job on a golf cart, I'm pretty sure that I want to buy one, I'd just like to check it out before hand.
Let me know.
Thanks;

Yeah but is the Tamuz bright enough??

Thanks guys;
I'll get in touch with Steve.
Be well.

I'm busy and I live on the east coast, so pardon me for being out of touch, but, I was wondering what the heck happened to the PRO 2 Landing pad. I'm sure that that is not the proper name, but I think you all know what I am talking about. You know, the thing that you can put on the bottom of your PRO base and let the sled rest on.
To my way of looking at it, it's a really cool product that will protect my PRO 3 base, as well as allow me a great place to put additional weight when needed. So needless to say, I am interested in finding out more.
Thanks in advance for your help and insights.

Peter;
Not in town, on a job and I could use a set of XCS 15mm to 19mm rods as soon as they are available. As long as they are reasonable that is.
Thanks

I recently switched from a 2" post to a 1.5" post and I have two extra 2" XCS post clamps. One I used for my monitor bracket. It does not have a gyro spud. The other I used as a gyro post clamp, and it has a spud. You can buy a gyro spud from XCS is you want to use both for gyros
I'd love to trade them for 1.5" post clamps with gyro spuds on both. They can be either XCS or PRO, as long as they are 1.5" I don't really care.
If you want to buy either, the clamp without the spud will cost $250.00. The one with the spud will cost $300.00
Call me is you have any questions.
Thanks
Jamie

I'm pretty dull, but I have 2 pelican 1600 cases. Each has a charger, and each has at least 4 batteries. I like the idea of splitting up the bats and chargers because if I lose one in flight, or one is stolen, I don't have to shut down and start looking to borrow some AB batteries.
-
Ramon;
I have an XCS FLG that I don't use any longer. Give me a call.

I have several questions;
1) Iain where on the sled did you put your DA? Which DA did you buy and who did the wiring? Do you have pictures?
2) Jens did you try using a Modulus on the rig instead? Or your Canatrans on a lower setting? My Blackbird is susceptible to RF (walkie interference) at times and I suspect that it is either the shielding of the cable going to the monitor from the rig, or the shielding in the monitor itself. I own an IMP Blackbird, not the MK-V version. So I wonder if yours is having a similar issue?

In two words..... Vel Cro....... Its more versatile, a far sight cheaper, and a lot lighter than any bracket that you can conceive. Ok it's only one word...... VELCRO; the wonder fastener.

From my perspective, once manufacturers create a lower cost HD receiver/transmitter, with a range that can accommodate our needs, NTSC/PAL transmitters will become the newest in a long line of steadicam paper weights that I have acquired over the years.
The transmitter receiver setups exist presently, so it's only a matter of time until they meet the needs of our community.

One last and final note from me about tomorrows Monitor Shootout.....
IT IS GOING TO BE HELD AT CSC, RAIN OR SHINE.
So come out and see the latest and best monitors on the market today.

And to further what Alec is saying...... I think that in LA they had between 20,000 and 30,000 people attend the Monitor Shootout. We have to show some East Coast Pride and have a great turnout here too. I'm hoping for at least 40,000 attendants............ JUST KIDDING. But we do want everyone on the East Coast to come out and see the monitors, rub elbows, see the D-21 in action and hang out in the New CSC digs.
You don't have to be a Union member to come to the event, but because it is being sponsored by the union, you have to call there to resereve a spot. Reservations are to make sure that we have ample lunch supplied. Call 212 647-7300 and ask for Robbie.
Come and show some East Coast Steadicam Pride!
Any questions, feel free to call me at 917 796-4217.
Alec and I look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday at 12.

One other note about the Monitor Shootout East Coast Style........ Even if you are not a member of Local 600, you are welcome to attend the event. When you RSVP please tell Robbie that you spoke to me and that you would like to attend.
I look forward to seeing anyone who is interested in seeing these monitors at the event.
See you there!!
Jamie

I hope to make it. Do I need to sigh up or can I just show up? Do you have all the monitors you need or should we bring what we have?
I'd like to see a rig shoot out where we could see all the different sleds and arms too.
Philip;
The reason we ask for an RSVP is so that we know how much lunch to provide and also to give CSC notice as to how many participants to expect.
So Please RSVP.
We look forward to seeing you there.

Jeff;
I might just take you up on your offer.....
Thanks.

I would also be more than willing to trade my 2" Gyro clamp, 2 2" Gorlok 2 rings and my 2" XCS monitor clamp for the same items in 1.5" size....
Let me know.

Might be worth asking Steadyrig, they're having another big clear-out at the moment and tend to have a lot of 1.5" bits...
Good idea Jason.
Thanks

Yep.
Sony F35 cameras. I don't honestly know what is happening with the tape stock, but there has been a lot of discussion about the lack.
