  1. As far as i know, the earliest models were known as only the Archer 2. And after a few years they updated it to the Archer 2 SP. I think the biggest difference was that the original Archer 2 had folding monitor and battery rods. The folding was only there for making it smaller when packing in a flightcase. The SPV is meant as the live tv version of the SP, and included a return monitor. And i think both the SP and SPV included more HD lines through the post than the original. There might be other differences, but the weight capacity is the same for all the Archer 2 models. The Archer 2 should be fine with most Alexa Mini and RED builds.
  2. As far as i know, the Provid has the same centerpost as the Archer and presumably the same threads on the folding part of the centerpost. For the Archer, i know of two off the shelf mods. One from MK-V, and one from Hofmann Teknik in sweden. Another option which i have done to my Archer, is to use a combination of off the shelf 15mm rods and clamps, and a couple of custom machined pieces to make it fit together. My rig is a lot more compact than a standard Archer or Provid now when i want it to. It can also expand to spread the masses for more inertia when that is needed.
  3. I want to buy a Wagner Horizon level, preferably in europe. Am i correct in thinking that these arent made anymore?
  4. The parts was just two small plastic spacers and some screws. I dont have any pictures that show the pieces. And i recently changed the bottom of the rig, so among other things i use a entirely different yoke now. I think i might have them somewhere. I´ll post some pictures of them if i find them.
  5. The thing is that all 3 of the bncs on the bottom are connected to the 7 pin lemo on the top stage originally. All i did was use two of them to connect to bncs on the top stage. One mounted where the 7 pin lemo was before, and the other mounted where the 4 pin hirose was. This way i have 2 lines of hd-sdi through my sled. The 8 pin lemo on the bottom is connected to the old monitor cable. The old cable would just work with monitors with 8 pin lemo in. With this mod i can connect a cable with 8 pin lemo on one end, and whatever is needed on the other end. For example my tvlogic cable is 8 pin lemo to 4 pin mini-xlr and bnc. And the cable to my old backup monitor is 8 pin lemo to 8 pin lemo. It makes it a bit more versatile.
  6. I upgraded my Archer with a TVlogic SRM-074w about six months ago. I got the mounting hardware from tiffen, so they might have the correct parts for the transvideo as well. As for the wiring, i replaced the 7 pin lemo and the 4 pin hirose with bnc connectors. These were connected to two of the three video lines from the 7 pin lemo. On the bottom of the rig, I removed the bnc that was no longer connected to the top stage. In its place i put a 8 pin female lemo, instead of the 8 pin male lemo monitor cable. This part is a bit difficult. So if you dont have a lot of experience with soldering, you should maybe get someone to help you with this (like i did). I ordered cables for both my TVlogic and the original monitor from Alan Rencher at Media Blackout. Hope this helps.
