    Merlin 2,
  1. Thanks Alan, I received a PM about an hour ago from a member of this forum that may result in the assistance that I'm looking for. Thanks to the forum.
  2. Looks Ike no interest. Don't know whether the problem is that I intend to use a camera (the new digital Leica) that doesn't have HDMI out, or the Merlin as a rig or just that people are otherwise occupied. Anyway, thanks for reading. Cheers
  3. Thanks Alan, yes they're doing a Zephyr/Pilot/Scout workshop in February, which I have my eye on if I can't arrange something sooner and specific to the Merlin. Cheers
  4. Hi, Not quite a workshop, although it would be great if someone would organise one... I want to retain a Stedicam operator in New York to give me a day's instruction on the Merlin 2. I'm looking for someone who has serious experience with the Stedicam system, and who either has experience with the Merlin 2 or at least does not look down on it. Timing.... I can arrange this around your schedule. At my end, I plan to do it with a digital still camera that I expect to receive in the next two to four weeks. My intention is to use the Merlin with prime lenses, starting with 35mm. The camera does not have HDMI out, which means using the optical viewfinder, an electronic viewfinder and/or the LCD. When I receive the camera, I intend to give my best shot at balancing it on the Merlin, but I would certainly appreciate suggestions about changes. In the meantime, I am reading the Steadicam Operator's Handbook. If you are interested, please send me a note, together with information on what you would charge. Cheers P.S. I realise that some people might consider it crazy to buy a hybrid camera that does not have HDMI out. For several reasons, I intend to buy this camera regardless. This video, made with the camera, tells me that I can make it work: Cheers
