  6. I purchased this kit here on the forum from another member a few weeks ago. Everything arrived fine and in perfect condition but due to a personal life issue, I now need to re-sell it in order to pay for said life issue. I've had it about a month and only set it up a couple of times to practice. Everything works fine and I have experienced no issues.

Included in the sale (everything in the pictures except monitor, battery and c-stand).

    - Proline Raven Sled - capable of flying up to an Alexa.

    - Proline Vest (modified with M2 buckles http://www.ratchetingbuckles.com/for more precise fitting)

    - Proline Arm with 2 sets of springs for flying everything from DSLR up to fully loaded Alexa.

    - Custom cut hard case from http://www.mycasebuilder.com/

    - Original fasteners from the vest that I took off to change the buckles

    Cables:

    - Red Epic Lemo to Sled Lemo power cable

    - Monitor XLR to sled Lemo power cable

    - Redrock Microremote base station to sled Lemo power cable

Supports 12v and 24v Lemo power with up to 3 batteries

Dual SDI cables in center column

Extra: I will also include a second dovetail plate and 9" post.

5,000.00 (will not sell items separately at this time)

  7. My approach is a little more limiting in how low I go but it keeps me operating in good posture and solid control over the rig. I only move the gimbal enough to make sure I can get my hand under it. This keeps the cg closer to where I'm operating, thus more control. I do use a f-bracket to get lower and as long as I know the shot and have the yoke handle in the right position, there is never an issue with strong tilts or switching across the body.

Additionally, if I know I'm going to low mode for any part of the shoot that day, I'll add my 2nd monitor under the camera. This allows me to switch to low mode in 5 to 10 seconds with little or no re-balancing. I use a lightweight AC7 for the second monitor. This also allows me to operate in the same eye line and I can see where Im walking much easier than having to look up at a monitor...

If and when I need to get really low for a shot, I'll break some of those rules but I'm short, so I rarely have to....lol

  8. I think there is always a benefit from warming up your muscles regularly and staying stretched out. Even if you don't operate a steadicam. The guys that don't do anything won't know the benefits they could be getting out of some very simple and less than 15 minute warm ups every day in life. No matter what you do, keep it simple but do something. I only stretch on operating days, but on all other practice days, I warm up exercise and stretch for 15 minutes before putting on the vest. Make a huge difference!
