I get a battery warning indication on the camera almost imediately when powering through the rig. I have never had this problem with an EFP, Master or Ultra.

I am using PAG 90's. I have my rig set up so that the Preston and and Monitor are powered from the monitor battery. The camera battery is feeding just the camera and the built in tally system.

I have had major problems powering a video camera from my two Artemis HD rigs. I found that there was a voltage drop from the camera battery to the camera output supply lemo on the rig. I sent a rig back to Sachler and they sent this reply. Regarding the overall resistance in the rig. After changing the complete wiring and electronic you got now the lowest ohm number ever in an artemis rig. Well comparing the direct power supply of an onboard battery with the rig is not very fair, because the combination of the length of the internal wiring, plus cam power cable, plus sockets and connector will be about one meter cable in the end. Of course this will add more resistance to the system than a direct power supply by an onboard battery. Because we have 12 lines going from sled to top and the need to have an main plug in the center post, the diameter of the single pins in the main cable Lemo plug are a bit thinner. To have less resistance in the system, we would have to change to a 6 pin Lemo main cable connector. But with only 6 pins in the post, you will loose the HD Video support and the independent power supply for video power out socket in the side to side module. Camera's more than three amps (not that much) cant be powerd from the rig, because the cables in the post are too thin, because they need to be thin to fit in the post. So whats the point of the Camera battery on the rig or the camera power socket? I sent this reply to Sachler. Dear Curt, Thanks for servicing my rig, but I am now left in a very bad position. I bought two of your Artemis HD rigs for shooting video only, and now I can only shoot video with an on board battery. Surely you should make it clear that the Artemis HD is only useful for very low power video cameras or for cameras with on board batteries only. An on board battery on a video camera makes the camera too long and destroys the dynamic balance and feel of the rig. What is the point of the camera battery clip on this sled? Can the loom in these rigs be replaced for the six cable type. I think you have a very serious design fault with this sled. It is excellent mechanically but you have a serious problem with the design of the electronics. I cannot find the specification of your rig. What do you quote as maximum current for camera power supply. I cannot get more than three Amps out of it. You asked me what I a thinking.
