  1. Thank you so much for the information Alec! That video is truly spectacular. I'm wondering if you know the name of Ruben's app or if it is open to the public as I'm having trouble finding much information about it. I did see a video and it looks amazing but I'm not sure what it's called. Thank you so much!
  2. I'm searching for a way to be able to remotely control the roll of the camera (ideally 360 degrees or at least 180) while the steadicam operator is operating. As in, we would hire a trinity operator, and I would have a remote or set of wheels to be able to independently control the roll. Camera is Alexa Mini. I have found the K2.0010337 remote (https://www.arri.com/en/camera-systems/camera-stabilizer-systems/brackets-accessories-protection/maxima-accessories/K2.0010337) but I heard it may not be able to do a full 360 degrees rotation. I also have been reading about the Omega or AR system, but am unsure about whether this system can be controlled remotely or if it's only for pre-programmed movements. If ever, this job is in Las Vegas on Dec 10-12, in case any LA operators are interested or have the appropriate gear! Thank you all! Derek (DOP and Steadicam Operator)
  3. Hey there everybody, I'm a cinematographer but am getting into the steadicam game. I'm not planning to work as a full-fledged steadicam operator per-se, but more for use on specialized projects that I'll be DPing. I have a test shoot coming up, where we'll be shooting with a stripped down RED Epic. I'm planning to invest in this core system: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=invoice&A=details&Q=&sku=732329&is=REG I want to know, what other cables or accessories are MANDATORY for shooting with the Epic, and which cables or accessories would you reccomend? What I mean to say is - I know I'll be gradually accumulating more specialized accessories and equipment over time, but for now, for this test shoot, I need to know if there are any other things I need to have a functional kit. Obviously I need AB batteries + charger, and I think I'd get the low mode bracket as well (although I had difficulty determining whether I should be getting the mini low-mode kit http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/192878-REG/Steadicam_078_7393_01_Mini_low_mode_kit.html/pageID/accessory or the F-bracket http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/192877-REG/Steadicam_300_7901_3007901_Mini_Low_Mode_F.html/prm/alsVwDtl). Any other thoughts or concerns?
