  1. this is a bummer. ive used john several times in the past for re-celling and for fixing firmware issues in my chargers and batteries. Always super easy to deal with and quality work. Let me know if you guys come across the next Ritter anywhere...
  2. Im curious if anybody knows of a tool to help tighten and loosen the threaded collar that connects a 1.5" MKV Carbon Fiber post to the D-Box below. I have a dickens of a time ensuring its properly tight with just my hands. A handy tool would surely help, not sure if anybody has come across one that would work.
  3. Does anybody know what the set screws in the MKV 1.5" carbon fiber post are achieving? They don't seem to tighten to loosen anything that I know of. Also would anybody know what size allen key and what thread size they are?
  4. So it ended up being a loose hex like Jerry initially thought. Tiffen sells the overpriced tool to tighten it. Worked like a charm :)
  5. Looking for a lightly used ExoVest. Looking to pay $3800 shipped or NYC pickup. Looking for North American seller to avoid any crazy conversion fees or import duties or whatever. Email: Keeling.pete@gmail.com
  6. Hey Lisa! I did try to adjust the ride setting after we wrapped. Still doing the popping thing. It is only on the upper section of the arm. Bottom segment is booming smoothly. Jerry Holway said it might just be a hex key adjustment below the lift knob. Im waiting to hear what Joe at Tiffen says, see if its an easy fix or not. Pete
  7. Hello all, Just wondering if anyone has run into this issue before and it's a quick fix or I've adjusted something improperly, or it needs to be sent in for service. Was flying SR3 post fully extended, 3 batteries below, fairly heavy build. The lift knob adjusted fine to carry it. But after about an hour during a boom it would start to stick on the upper segment of the arm. The actual LIFT knob is moving about a 1/2" up and down in the middle of the boom, causing it to knock. Here's a video of it happening. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DzOeXZZcLLHm6x6r88Vuqit07X100U2X/view?usp=drivesdk Is this because I don't have the ride properly adjusted or something much worse? Any advice appreciated, Thanks, Pete
  8. Hello, Looking to buy a Betz Wave1. Located in NYC, but hoping for North American seller to avoid crazy taxes and shipping. Email: Keeling.pete@gmail.com Thank you, Pete
  9. Ryan, did you detune your arm with Jerry last week? Now that I'm back and trying to fly lighter stuff, I'm noticing it's not really possible, and my arm is just lifting too much with the knobs all the way down. Was it scary detuning it? I keep seeing the warning not to twist the cables, I'm afraid ill screw it up.
  10. Hey all, I've read a bit about the 3A Gimbal here on the boards, but haven't seen too much recently about what I'm looking for. Im wondering if anybody knows if there is a company that might make something longer than the typical 3A "Live" Gimbal handle, which has about 2" of grabbing area. I spent the last week on some newer rigs at the SOA workshop and I'm finding it hard to go back to the short handle. Are there any other handles that are compatible? Or am I pretty much stuck with what I have? Thanks, Pete
  11. I've had good luck with Sharron Jones of Jones and Gold in Manhattan. She understands all of my camera assistant deductions pretty well. Pete
  12. What's the overhaul cost by Robert if you don't mind me asking?
  13. Jeff Did you end up finding a solution to this? Starting to convert from a hummingbird setup to a newer monitor with 1/4-20 thread.
