  5. Also your old plates will not be thick enough to keep the camera body from hitting the lever. The plate that comes with it will work great. Cinematic Precision sells the Alexa plate in the same thickness
  6. Just so your aware, the lever to lock the plate in is NOT designed to close flush (the way it rests before you drop the plate in, but on the opposite side). They should send this note with the topstage but they do not. I clamped mine all the way down forcefully when I first got it, and Jack over at pro said don't do that when I called to ask what was wrong. It is a odd design concept. You need only to press firmly on the lever until it is snug. It will not look closed, but it will not slip. Hope this helps.
  7. Thank you for sharing. Best of luck as you continue working, and I hope your back heals nicely.

  16. I don't know how to respond individually, but I'm glad everyone in enjoying the video. I hope everyone can take a little something away from it. I know I did.
  17. I have had this video sitting around for about ten years. It was given to me by a friend when I first became interested in steadicam. It seemed about time to get it out for all to see. Im not sure who originated the video, but no one else has ever posted it. The video is of Ted at Victor Duncan Camera house, doing a demo on the setup, balance, and basic operating of his Model 2 sled. I'm guessing mid 80's but someone might know better. Enjoy. https://youtu.be/TFDFcFPC28I Dale Vance, Jr.
