  4. Those screws are to balance your gimbal. To test whether they need adjusting build you rig and put it on the balancing stud. Once you have achieved static balance spin the rig 180 and check to see that it is still in static balance.

IF however when you spin it 180 and it loses balance then it means your gimbal is not right and that the screws need adjusting.

I have had to do it twice, its important to do very small adjustments, its not so much about too tight or too lose.

Hope that helps. There is a good guilde for it if you google ultra2 gimbal balance which is similar.

  5. I have for sale -

6 x IDX Endura HL9 batteries (the kind that stack together)

    1 x kettle lead/IEC cable

    1 x VL-4S 4ways charger

and also a vlock Hawkwood plate to enable having Dtap or Hirose power. (VL-CA2)

1 x black 1550 Peli case (lid foam needs replacing but there is foam in place just not original - see pic)

    Asking £1300 no vat ONO.

Full stats can be seen at: http://cvp.com/index.php?t=product/idx_hl9

This kit is ex-rental but well looked after, I have been using it as my primary kit since Feb but have now upgraded to hl10ds kit.

I had all six checked over 23/8/17 by IDX technician and each battery has had around 300/350 cycles since new, hold their charge between 77/82wh which is pretty good considering their age. (one batt has a faulty date reader it seems, so when hooked up to a diagnostic it does not display serial number, but this does not effect its operation)

All kit in good working shape, currently using these batteries on my ultra cine steadicam rig with no issues, using 2xbatts to power alexa, remote focus etc they go for about 35/40 minutes without hot swapping with a block, but as individual batts they would perhaps be more suited to powering a single camera without aks or video monitors.

Minor scuffs to peli case and each batterie. LED displays all working fine, charge holding fine. Can arrange postage, or collection/drop off.

    London/Hampshire (UK) areas.

    Thanks Andrew

  6. These posts really bug me, there has been a few of them now (not sure if been all the same person) that keep trying to draw people away from the steadicam forum... Stop it, if you have a story to tell - keep it on the forum, in the community. Please.

Just my feeling, don't bite my head off;)

  7. Selling tv logic 056 as I am upgrading.

So I am keeping all the cables and my peli.

Quite a few scuffs on casing and a small scratch to the protector screen. (Screen underneath is all good)

The bottom left screw was over tightened and caused the screen protector to chip off that corner, but it still holds in place.

I am using this monitor myself currently and can confirm all in good working order, just checked the hdmi and that is fine too.

  8. Hey,

I am selling my 4x IDX HL10ds batts and charger

I do not have a peli to offer with them but all original packaging will be included.

These batts were bought new by me Jan 2016 through Tiffen - and have been used only by me.

They are in very good condition, no particular scuffs or scratches to mention.

  9. Thanks guys, I was just looking for comparison and opinions on both as I own BOTH:)

I did like how much lighter it was to carry my box of 6x hl9 over the 6 x hl10ds! But I do not need the stackable thing, and I like the dtap option on the hl10ds which I have used a couple times on some jobs.

So I am now selling my hl9 kit, they are in the market place. Will continue to use them until sold.

p.s I do worry about the plates being secure as it seems there are a lot of horror stories about them coming off. Mine feel pretty damn solid, and when upside down I use a strap to keep them secure just in case.

    Thanks everyone.

    Andrew

  10. Hey everyone,

    Just looking for some recommendations/opinions

    IDX Endura H10DS

    http://www.idxtek.com/products/e-hl10ds/

    IDX Endura HL9

    http://www.idxtek.com/products/e-hl9/

Who has used them? What do you like, dislike about them?

I know the H10 has Dtap which could be useful, little bit more heavy.

HL9 Clip together... But seem to be WAY more expensive, anyone know more on this? What is Digi-View?? Listed on specs.

  11. Yeh it really does. as I had my eye on a van which I was close to buying when the VW scandal broke.

But also in the news yesterday, that soon diesel vehicle owners who use it as company van/car will be offered £3k towards cost of replacing it with a petrol vehicle and diesel owner family's with low income will also be offered some cash towards changing to petrol... So it looks like it will be happening in UK over the next 5 years.
