  1. Alan Billingham bags are popular in UK. Expensive but last a lifetime Also get a couple of Jerry Hill's cable wallets , superb Joe
  2. Delighted with mine. Really well made and just don't know why I didn't buy them years ago, thank you.
  3. Andy the Ultra vest has a titanium socket block which should only be mated with titanium arm block. I might be wrong but a few years back that was the general rule
  4. Hi Michael Id say your right The pins may have come loose Id take the whole round top bit off and examine it. The holes may have expanded over time. You might have to saw and inch off the post then drill new holes for the pins. If youre lucky it may be that one or two of the pins have just come loose and could be tapped back in ? Where are you based ? Theres Brian Busby in UK who I'm sure would be able to do a great repair on that if needed Hope that helps. Joe
  5. Not got M1 anymore but I remember there was a little design problem in that if you tightened the lever when the lever was on the outside as you tightened the gear would back off the lens, not good. Solution was to turn the bracket through 180 degrees then when you tighten the lever it will press harder on the lens, good. Hope that helps joe
  6. Hi Jamie Ive got a good range of arms Flyer as I think they said in the original advertising behaves like a $20000-00 kit I've not noticed it bottoming out ever it does seem to get stiffer near its limits. Has been going strong for many years. Carries a lot, lot more than the original specification. Thanks Chris F and Robin Tiffen for spares and help and bearings many years ago btw Zephyr. acquired recently I think its great better than Flyer although one user mentioned he couldn't seem to lose steps in the shot. Seems smooth to me so I'm thinking it behaves in a different fashion depending on camera weight, maybe ? Overall though fantastic kit. Early days but probably another great Tiffen success. Model 3 nearly 30 years old . Used it all last week on a show and behaves beautifully. Nice and light too Gold Springs gets very stiff near limits mainly because I use lighter rigs so would be better with different springs. Never noticed it bottom out. Thank you Brian Busby for servicing btw. Master arm recently serviced Absolutely beautiful . I think a lot of people have had these but not properly maintained so get bad press. Bottoms out yes but the advantages far, far out weigh this. Works like a dream Thanks Brian Busby btw. As has been mentioned you get used to the bottoming out use your knees. Baer Bel arm. A little vested interest here in that I represent Markus (Baer Bel) in UK. Most business now though is through Baer Bels own website. Really long boom range. Compression springs I think. Lovely to look at. I've never notice bottoming out with this arm. I used it for years with too heavy springs but now got lighter ones and its like a different arm very responsive. Ive had an Ultra arm too same as Master really, superb. So there you have it any questions please fire away All best with your decision Joe

Then again Ive used the little Panasonic WM SD 7" for well over 10 years and thats been OK too I must have very low standards :) Did you buy the Ikan or just on test ? Are you doing any other model tests ? All best Joe

  22. Hi Victor good list thanks for that I saw the new TVlogic offering and although I have their older 7" that I think is brilliant but not the brightness star in the galaxy :) I didnt think much of the new one I think your list might need an indication of resolution too please some of the brighter offerings are not full HD All best joe
  23. Tried the Exovest today and very impressed. Felt very solid all over and built like it would last for 50 years easily. If I needed a new vest tomorrow this is the one Id buy. Joe
