  1. great sence of humor & imagination
  2. Are these screen plays any good then ? Two of them are mine. They are good, and I'm not the only one who thinks that way... More importantly, both screepts are short (even minimalistic in a way) and easy to produce. I'd say, both are aimed mainly at film festival path to generate a positive noise. Future, more commercially oriented projects are to come... Anyway, one of those screenplays definitely needs extensive steadicam shots as there are lot of scenes seen from the protagonist's point of view, so I'll put SS/4000 to the test for that one. But first, workshop and some practicing cause, at this point, my Glidecam is neither very "Glide" nor "Steadi"...
  3. I mean what is your reason for asking are you a woking DOP or just a curios onlooker perhaps ? -matt Matt, there is a little curiousness involved in my question, no doubt, but another reason is that I recently bought Glidecam's Smooth Shooter/4000 (a system at the bottom of the hierarchy, perhaps) and have serious plans to improve my "steadicam" skills to apply it to my upcoming projects (a few of my screenplays require some serious stedicam movements, and my budget doesn't allow me to hire a pro). As I started practicing with my new system(soon I'm taking workshop, too), I also started researching the theory, and...
  4. Is there exact hierarchy among stabilizer systems; I mean Suchtler, Pro II, Steadicam... there are so many of them. Is there any definite leader among them?
  5. Thanks man... Isaw some of those stands for $120+ on BH website I think they should do...
  6. Hi again, I foun out that stand for 4000 rpo goes around $360-$400; I've been thinking to get some cheaper trypod and use it as a stand. Have any of you done that? and if yes, any suggestions?
  7. hi guys, I was just wondering who runs this forum and who has power to remove members... Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see anybody removed. I'm just being curious.
  8. I actually bought quick release from B&H, it was manfrotto, and it helps me a little. However, I do need lot of practice. I realize it especially when I look at your websites(I mean all three of you); some impressive demos, you guys have. Thanks again Arch
  9. Thanks for replying guys. I'll try both suggestions. So now the first thing I'll do is probably visit b&h and buy a stand or trypod strong enough for my XL2/4000. I wonder if there are any steadicam workshops near NY/Long Island? If you know any please let me know. Arch
  10. Hi guys, I just joined the forum and I sincerely hope that at least here somebody will know answer to my question. you see, the problem is that I bought 4000pro a wile ago and ever since I've been having serious problems with balancing the sistem; literaly, it takes me forever to balance it and even then the sistem seems not fully balanced. Recently I bought Smooth Shooter and even though I love the support it gives me with carrying my Canon XL2, balancing 4000pro is still the same problem. Does anybody have any sudgestions regarding balancing glidecam 4000pro? Thanks in advance P.S. I'm planing to take workshop... I don't know if thats a good idea...
