  1. Cartoni Sigma Fluid Head for Sale.
Similar in style to the O'Connor 2575C but with a greater camera capacity (up to 100 lbs-more than enough for a Platinum w/ 11:1 zoom and 1000' mag) and less expensive. Beautiful design and Italian craftmanship. Digital Counterbalance, Pan and Tilt resistance read-outs. Geared fore-aft adjustment with knob (much easier to adjust than on the O'Connor head). Includes front short handle, long pan handle, universal eyepiece leveler support (works w/ Panavision or Arri), mitchell base, Euro-type quick release plate, A&J custom hard case. The head is in excellent condition and was recently lubricated and cleaned by Cartoni USA.

Great head to include in your rental packages for the Steadicam/B-Camera Operator. You'll pay-off this head in just 2 or 3 movies. This is over $9,500 worth of gear if purchased new.

For more info go to: Cartoni Sigma Website

    Price $5,000.00

MK-V Sled as listed above: $27,000

    PRO-GPI VEST

Also in excellent condition. Near new, just over two years old. $4,100.

    TIFFEN G70x ARM

Beautiful Iso-elastic arm. Includes short post. Looks and feels like new. Just two years old. $16,800.

I am willing to sell the sled, arm and vest separately, but prefer to sell it as a complete package which I will discount to $45,000. This is a $60,000.00 package that is nearly new.

Okay, so I know everyone is going to start asking why I am selling, so to pre-answer, I am selling my current Nexus to buy a new Nexus sled. I need a business write-off. I still love the MK-V. This is just a financial decision my accountant said I should make.

  3. I bought one of Jeremy's Rickshaws and used it on a commercial a few weeks ago and it was FANTASTIC!! Smooth, fast and most of all super sturdy. Slapped my Garfield Mount from Klaussen Designs (the best Garfield mount for the money) and I was up and running (actually I was up and sitting!!) I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.

In the mean time, if you are in the market to rent one rather than buy one (it certainly isn't a small item to store for a city dweller) I have one available for rent and conveniently available for pick-up any day between 9a-5p in Astoria, just outside New York City. Call, text or email me.

And built in heaters for working in sub zero temperatures. Plus PRO compatible connections and built in Tally lights (for use with the V3 system).

  9. Hi Stephen...I had the Boxx system out with me on "Supernatural" back in April and was impressed. We did encounter an issue of the TX not finding the RX but in the end the transmitted picture was incredible. I bought the IDX unit back in January and it has performed satisfactorily if you don't ask too much of it.

I'm still always trying for the best TX picture I can get. Can you let me know what kind of pricing you are offering on these units?

    Regards,

    Tim-

I cannot post prices here but I will email them to you directly. The issue you had is an easy fix. Simply select any of the 65 channels, set the receiver and transmitter to "Manual" mode on the same channel and you will not have this problem. Without a doubt the Boxx Meridian blows the IDX out of the water. In fact, it can even outperform a $80,000+ Linx system with a little setup effort and some high gain antennas.

    Best,

    Stephen

  10. Stephenn,

on the feature you were shooting in NY, which R/x were you using? The broadcast mode or the portable R/x?

On all the YT clips I've seen so far, I've only seen the unit used with the Broadcast R/x. This R/x is vastly more costly than the portable R/x.

    Lars-

Sorry for the delay. I'm on set alot lately and replying to posts from my iPhone is difficult. Always feel free to email me directly instead.

To answer, with properly set up and similar antennas, the broadcast and portable receivers will perform very similarly. I will be offering an antenna array for the portable unit or you can purchase 5.1-5.9Ghz antennas yourself and build your own to suit your needs. The main difference between the receivers is that the iris & tally control option is only available on the Broadcast receiver. I have a Broadcast receiver available for rent if you ever need it for this function or to use Full Telemetry (remote CCU control).

    Best,

    Stephen
