On a similar note what channels do people find work best with a modulus around New York?
Jess,try this site.

Don't forget, there's a reason there are no more UHF TV stations. The government is selling off the UHF band and guess what, NYC is the place that will be sold to first. Start selling your Modulus becuase I bet they are going to start cracking down on users!!
Actually, all over the air television broadcast stations are in the UHF band.

Band Pro does carry them, but be careful! They charged me double the list price. Found out after I called AB in NY. They refunded the difference, after I complained a bit.

Many, many years ago, Bob Ulland and I were day playing on a show and they asked him to climb up a ladder to do a high and wide shot.
He didn't say a thing and climbed the ladder.
Won't tell you what I said.

Pretty sure all you need is a 2 pin type not a semi conductor like the one you picked out. They are basically a one way valve that doesn't let the current reverse direction.

Something like a Motorola MR2404. I am modifying an AB 2 battery carrier for an op and it has six of these mounted together attached to a heat sink.

I am thinking about using this diode: http://mouser.com/ProductDetail/STMicroele...EkEDEfs9dBHE%3d
Anyone have any input on it? 30A 30V max. in stock at mouser. really low current drop. looks like it should fit the bill.

The DX404 from Avalon RF comes in a PAL version. It is a 4 antenna system and they also make a 2 antenna system.

I was wondering what people are using to receivers for their modulus. I know that MOD QUAD II is out but a the cost I would like to find something cheaper... Any Ideas?
Transvideo Hermes
Transvideo Pegasus
Sony TU1110 http://www.wolfvid.com/datasheets/Specials.pdf
Avalon RF DX 402 http://avalonrf.com/Literature/brochures/d...02_brochure.pdf
Avalon stuff looks way cool. They actually made the Custom Interface receivers.

Dedolight manufactures a light head that is specifically designed for high speed cinematography.
It concentrates an intense amount of light over a highly concentrated area with little or no heat.
Dedocool 3200 K and operates between 110v thru 240v.
It's hard to look at these lights when they are on.

Isaia & Co. is the rep for GFM in L.A. They are located in N. Hollywood. Don't have there info with me at this time but should be easy enough to find. Or you can call Armin Weileder directly at GFM 011498931901290. He, your friend, might be able to buy it directly from the factory. Great and innovative products.

Markus,
May want to check that each, the camera and monitor, are set to NTSC or PAL. The AJA auto corrects depending on the input signal.

Robert,
Try this link, I have posted it before. Just type in zip code and set attenuation to 0.

Check out this web site for broad band UHF antennas. Also just because a channel appears to be unused there now exists the possibility, a good possibility, of a DTV station being there which you would not see but will interfere with your low power analog signal.

Jimmy Jensen made a housing years ago that was outstanding. Very similar to the clear plexi ones for still cameras.
