Thanks for the reply Lisa, great to know. I looked in to buying one but unfortunately you can't buy the set without the motors, so I've opted for the Bartech system. The Carat does look very neat and hopefully I'll get to see it in action one day.

Has anyone used the Heden Carat wireless follow focus system? Does it have any shortcomings/issues?

I've already got some M26VE motors and looking at hand unit / receiver options.

One book I can highly recommend (it's more like a Bible than a book) is the Steadicam Operators Handbook. Was a source of so much information when I was starting out.

I bought the cine-jam.de monitor mount a couple of months ago as I too was getting frustrated with my previous mount and the SmallHD monitor. I opted for the back-up monitor joint from Mathias (cine-jam) and it's made a huge difference. Easy to install, easy to use and the build quality is top notch.

Don't forget the chocolate ;)
