Hi My Name is Milan Holec; I am a Steadicam operator. As a wireless focus for my steadicam I use BarTech Focus; Rotary Style Control Module and Linear Style Control Module with Remote Camera Run Outputs. This Device can control Run/Stop on different cameras: Panavision, ARRI 435/535/SR3, Moviecam Compact, ARRI BL/SR/35-III, Aaton 16/35, Video Camera 12-pin, Panavision Genesis and new RED One; which most of you already know. First time when I had RED ONE on my rig I?ve used my BFD to control wireless recording and I was facing the difficulties to Run/Stop camera (some people might have the same experience as myself ? the difficulty to control new RED ONE with BFD). What actually happened was; when we pushed the run button, the camera started recording, however when we pushed the button again to stop the camera there was message on display showing 1 frame bursting and the camera would not stop recording. If anybody experienced the same problem and would not know how to fix it I might be able to help you with that. RED ONE has two GPIO input (A/B). The following steps are for the setup of these inputs: 1. System ? setup menu 2. Setup menu ? Preferences 3. Preferences ? GPIO menu 4. GPIO menu ? GPIO Input A 5. GPIO Input A ? and select Record please do not select BURST or RAMP; it has to be on RECORD only; you can set the Input A or B - it doesn?t really matter.

Since I am unable to get a direct message to Jan from ProGEAR in Denmark, I am trying to send this message to him via Steadicam Forum now. The message is this: Jan will you please take the monitor you have built for me to IBC commencing 07/09/2006 I am trying to find someone who is going to IBC to pick it up for me. Please contact me on either the Forum or on my home email address mholec@bigpond.net.au STATEMENT OF SITUATION/INVITATION TO ANYONE GOING TO IBC I have previously posted on the Forum about my dilemma with ProGear in Denmark. I know my English is hard to understand so have gotten help from someone in writing this latest message. The basic message is still: I JUST WANT MY MONITOR. In 2005 I paid 100% to ProGear for a monitor and I still have not seen it. Jan at Progear won't contact me and has delayed and delayed and delayed sending me my gear. The delaying tactics go on and on and on. I have asked for advice before and received many messages from other ops who have suffered the same treatment. My thanks to Janice Arthur for her support. I am offering a few hundred dollars to any op going to IBC who collects my monitor from Jan's booth and FedExes it to me. I have asked Jan to bring the monitor to IBC. It won't cost you a thing--I have a FedEx account for the shipping--and a couple of hundred dollars will pay for part of your expenses to go to IBC. I JUST WANT MY MONITOR.
