  1. I have the vertical displacement plates, I haven't used the horizontal ones but as long as the camera is built out decently centered I don't see a need for it. but I could be wrong since I don't have experience with it
  2. I think i've seen a post on the forum about with someone switching theirs but it does require rewiring the plate if you're comfortable with that. Other options are buying a whole new battery mount from Tiffen or getting a V mount to Gold mount adapter
  3. Hey, I'm not sure about that model of flyer but I'd recommend getting a used Zephyr instead. I was able to fly most red and alexa mini camera builds with mine and it made for great starter rig. The vest and arm will be better and the sled has more power options that make flying heavier cameras and powering them through your sled a lot better
  4. Hey, I had a zephyr starting out, it is a great starter rig but you will outgrow in very fast. I upgraded to a Pro within a year of having mine but it was great to get started at steadicaming. I was able to fly most Red and Alexa mini camera builds with it, even with anamorphic lenses if you have the right cables. If you get one buy it used and make sure to have it serviced before purchasing or right after purchasing. Also try to buy one with the second battery hanger included, it will help tremendously with keeping the post short and balancing cameras at the top of it's weight range. Be careful not to overload it though because the yoke can snap after a while. If you have the means definitely look at getting a used Archer or older Pro rig though, as you'll be able to keep those for a long time before needing to upgrade
  5. Hey, I have two standard 9" Pro plates and the cinematic precision alexa plate and haven't found a need for another plate yet with my DB2. The only one I could think to be useful would be the Zalex long plate for unique long builds or the xcs sliding plate for the wave.
  6. Hey Jason, There are two versions of the zephyr vest, a regular and a compact. If you have the compact version it will definitely not be good fit but at your height the regular might be rough also. GPI pro and Walter Klassen both take measurements when you order a vest from them to make sure it will fit right and both of them would be great vest for if you upgrade your rig in the future. If you get a GPI vest order it without the socket block and you'll save a good $1000ish Also Tiffen may be able to help you out if your contact them Directly, I use a pro so I can't say for sure
  7. I have a Zephyr to Arri mini/amira cable if you're still looking
