Ron I would like to announce that the NYC Handsfree will make it's maiden voyage this week. It will work in it's first professional gig in Centeral Park. This is itsi Atkins owner of the Handsfree Segway in NY. Yes the handsfree will work on any Segway other than the very early models which have larger plugs. I own six segways and have a great deal of Segway experience. I added the demo of the unit on my ebay store, to promote the awareness of the unit in NYC. I had to have some fee inorder to place it on ebay. The fee is for my time, but I would be glad to wave the fee for any member of this forum, or camera union member. I needed some way to keep the non professional joy riders from asking for free demos. I am a professional member of the film community and one of the oldest Segway owners so you can be sure you are dealing with a responsible person. thanks itsi

For full disclosure, I was actually trying to arrange a demo at a local rental house with his Hands Free for local operators. Before I continue this pursuit, I'll see if things clear up here. I am a DGA upm retired from Paramount and looking to support the film industry with this unique camera unit. I also work to support Segway use. The Segway Hands Free does give you the freedom to step off with an assistant holding the back. So a step off shot is possible. I urge anyone interested in using it to get a demo and some training time on this great new steadicam accessory. You are all invited to demo it in NYC. thanks itsi atkins nyc upm

Learning to ride the Segway with an upright back and centerline position of your ears with the axil, might also help in training and improvements of back problems. When I bought my first rig, a Model I and chased around the neighborhood, I got some highly suspicious glares from the Greek Orthodox Priest at the church down the block from me. :D Hi, this is itsi Atkins new member and the owner of the only Hands Free Segway on the east coast. I bought it from Handsfree in Germany for rental in NYC. I also own six segways which I use for promotional events, limited tours and one xt is rigged with Mitchell, Sachtler mounts. I am a retired upm. I am looking for a NYC steadicam operator to give demos and get some footage for a site.
