i had this problem when i was using the red and other hd cameras and down converting to sd for transmitting with my modulos but as soon as i turned on the modulos "on" the monitor would go black so i grabbed the antenna with my hand and the picture came back eventually i used a foil candy wrapper (cliff bar)and wrapped it around the antenna of the modulos and the picture on my monitor came back and at the same time the directors monitor also worked via the signal from the modulos, so a couple of weeks ago i was doing a live broadcast using hd camera wired back to the truck but as soon as i got close to all the wireless rf gear on the football field my monitor blacked out again as i stepped away the monitor came back i believe it is the rf signals cutting into the hd signal and i am not flying the mk-v rigs so like someone here posted there could be a leak possibly thru the open bnc's on the rigs or the antenna effect from the post or lack of shielding,it's a mystery but my next job with these set ups i am going to try and put some bnc terminators on the open bnc holes never know it might work like the foil wrapper did lol whatever it takes ;)

mark morgan replied to mark morgan's topic in Video Assist and Video Accessories
this is weird "clif" bar wrapper stopped working, i was working with the 435 and no problems from the modulos, 2 days later i am working with the red and i am getting the black outs again, i pull the antenna off of the modulos and my monitor starts working again, plug in the antenna and the picture goes away, man i am stumped -

g-50 and g-70 SOLD
-
hey eric,i thought they stop selling qualudes but it sure seems like dexter found a good supply lol nice work
-
rob what happens if you drop yo iphone in da toilet lol
-
as long as i have owned my g-70 i never experienced a bouncing issue
-
where and when is the jo, i may have someone for you but they are presently on a job here in hawaii but should be back in california soon
-
i have been using the g-70 for around 3 years and have never noticed these bouncing/friction episodes,so i believe it all depends on how you have your ride and lift set up on the arm for the different camera weights but i did notice i get further travel left to right or right to left with the back mount vest so moral of the story play with the lift and ride knobs til you find something that fits your body style and operating techniques

You have get more information about steadicam , almost CORRECT. Try spend some time reading old post about steadicam history... Garret... J. H., G. P., R.
