  1. i like the shot in the dark jess,i have and i will try different cables again today

and i am going to take some tin foil and see if that will help lol "old school"

and a big thanks to all

Just a shot in the dark but HD-SDI can be finicky so im thinking maybe it could be possible that insufficient shielding in the video cable is allowing the modulus transmission to interfere with it. When you touch the antenna your body is absorbing some of and/or blocking some of the signal so there is less interference. Try a different HD rated video cable to the monitor and see if that improves things. Interference could also be happening within the miranda...

  2. hey erwin thanks for the response,

i had the power rewired so it shouldn't be getting video down the cable,

but why when i physically hold the antenna the picture comes back up

on my sled monitor and yet i never loose picture on the wireless monitor"menehunes"maybe lol

    Hi Mark,

Are you torturing my Modulus again? Shame on you...

    I was wondering...

Why does your down converted image as well as the HD signal come from your miranda in the first place?

I had issues where the signal that was down converted was not strong enough and just got lost in the cable connections... HD is an iffy signal to begin with.... or it's just me... we'll see.

Did you try and run your monitor directly from the camera, as to separate the signal before the down converter?

Might be one of those wired signal loses...

"signal from a miranda direct composite signal to modulos "

Does that mean that you are running power from the rig AND a video cable from the miranda into the Transmitter?

The cables that you got with the Transmitter are video/power cables and if you plug in an additional video cable, you are effectively double terminating the video signal...

    Check and let us know...

    Aloha,

    Erwin

  3. my modulos powered by the sled,

signal from a miranda direct composite signal to modulos

not looping thru the monitor, monitor has hd signal from miranda,

but when i power up the modulos the monitor blacks out,

than i physically grab the antenna on the modulos and the picture comes back

grounding issue maybe and this has also happened using an aja downconverter

  4. i have had my nebtek hd monitor for about 3 maybe 4 years now and its been great,

i have used in every camera application i can think of and it always worked well even in the infant days of the red,

also a big thanks to having hd/sdi thru my post, but any ways "huge" props to nebtek and there team

for some speedy repairs and great support,

they got my monitor on monday and i got it back on thursday and i live in hawaii and i am loving the new software updates,

framelines and false color man these guys rock and i can't wait to get the new solar hd monitor,

i have always said you get more bang for your buck with the nebtek monitor and its built tough

  5. Yep I just started last week and I feel like the biggest wimp ever trying to keep up. I hope I start getting stronger. It is tough.

    aloha bj,

hope all is well and what was it that you were

saying out in the water that day in hawaii

  6. hey jess

i am flying the sachler hd sdi pro rig

i have done this before with no problems many times

but i am also wondering if it is the build

i am currently on build 21,i am powering the modulus

thru the sled but with a different battery

    many thanks

Can't the RED do multiple SDI lines out? Have you tried hooking the AJA directly to the RED to see if you still have this problem? What sled do you have? If the HD-SDI signal down the post isn't the strongest the modulus could be providing enough interference to kill it. Or of course the RED could be freaking out for some reason, are you powering the modulus from your sled or the red battery?

  7. got a chance to test out the bfd away from the capitol building

and it working just fine,so i am sure that there is some serious

rf or defense technology going on at our state capitol building and heck why not

  8. the handle rocks

It's hard to find one were it's all about the Gimbal...

Can you still see a clear vieuw on your tb6? It looks like its a difficult angle to watch the frame. Just curius.

    Best

    Hi Job,

It's a bad angle on the picture to show... but the view of the TB-6 is actually hugely improved. Your right hand is usually directly where the screen would be, but with the ergo the hand is about 2 inches further away from the center post/ Gimbal cup and it gives you a clear view to the green...

    Later,

PS: Actually, Greg used to send out demos... give him a call if you are seriously interested.

In the mean time. I recieved my new xcs gimbal. Didnt had the time to use it, as i have some holiday, ( yeah yeah i know, but my wife and kid needs it lol ) but it sure looks like a fantastic piece. Cant wait to spin it

  9. aloha jim

it happened at all positions on the thumb wheels

but like i said maybe it was location,i was smack dab

in the middle of the state capitol building here on oahu

    or its just little menehunes

If this is happening when the calibration knobs are all the way towards each other (at the stops) you may need a new calibration pot. They tend to wear out in exactly this fashion. They way to tell is to move the knobs slightly away from the end and see if the problem stops.

  10. hey guys

yesterday my bfd w/m-one was chattering @ set up

had the thumb wheels all the way in towards the toggle

and the motor just kept chattering back and forth

like it was searching for a home position

any thoughts, i thought it might be because of location maybe lots of rf

  11. hey brahdah robert

man next time you are in hawaii let me know

i'll make a very, very good mug of kona coffee

ya know the kind that will make you wanna crawl

out of your skin and run around lol

nah budz i hope all is well with you and yes i

still got your note on my case it will be there forever

and thanks for lookin that stuff up

    best at ya kiddo :)

Hey Mark, not enough espresso yet so I can't remember his name but I'm pretty sure they normally use an op from New Orleans. I'll text Angel Vasquez who was the lead Utility on it and find out for you.

    All the best!

    Robert

  12. hi janice

if you look in the reflection of the car you can see that the op is on foot

but after that oh baby baby lol that made my day

    Hi all;

    Really fun to watch.

    I have two points.

    1) the words are all backwards on the shops and buildings, etc.

    2) I think its a vehicle shot of some sort. The women are walking at a good clip and the camera never hesitates and it even moves left and right for some things on the route.

Darn, now you'll have to watch it again!

  13. Loved it... More of a musical montage. I'm about to do a viral music video for my sons best friends dad and had worked out a one'r, but I do like the subtle usage of cuts for the indoor/outdoor transitions. Very well put together. Making me rethink the whole one take/one song idea into a montage of the four songs they have.

    Thanks for sharing.

edit: How did you guys fare in the competition?

we won it,so we got bragging rights lol
