  1. looking to add a battery plate to the front of my pro 1 lite battery hanger base. what options are there when looking to purchase a part like this? Here is a picture of my base and a photo of a sled that includes what I am looking for. Thank you
  2. Hey Brandon, I do have the one screw model. I called tiffen and talked to Harry but he was not sure after he looked into it. He like for me to send him more info. Is there anyone that can send me a photo of the 2 screw base so that I can show to Harry at Tiffen? I tried this but soon after the aluminum wore off and now the problem is a bit worse. :-/
  3. My batteries barley stay in place on my Flyer 1st generation. The original insides to lock the bolt striped a year ago. I replaced with a nut stuck in place with sugru and longer screw on a kipp handle. The nut started to not stick more often than not. I started using needle nose pliers when needed. Currently using a wing nut to lock down with kipp handle. Hopefully for the first and last time. I think its time to find a permeant replacement / Fix. + Not a fan of handing someone the rig in a car and always having my batteries change position. can the flyer LE sled be placed on the ground without adjusting the batteries? If so maybe that is an option. after searching the forum a bit I see DIY options ( anything simple? ) I know I have at least one option for upgrade with MKV. What other options do I have for upgrading the battery hanger on the steadicam flyer 1st generation?
  4. Picked one up from able today. Sadly it is not the one for the Heden bracket. Bit longer on the rods and does not click in. I will use it for next week out of nessesity.
  5. Do you guys know if any of those options snap into the heden motor bracket as well as the one that it comes with? I worry that these might slip out when I move the motor,
  6. After a few rentals I can't seem to find my 18-15mm insert for the Heden bracket. Looking to buy one to have for Tuesday morning in NYC. Anyone know where I could purchase one in time? Or not in time as I can borrow if needed.
  7. Looks like Sachtler makes what I am looking for. If those are indeed 15mm rods. and I can replace them.. When looking for a monitor Yoke what do you guys look for?
  8. Looking to get a monitor setup that can tilt/swivel and can use Zacuto 15mm rods for extension out. Love the idea of being able to use my rod collection to extended my monitor as far out or in as my heart desires. I am using a pro 1.5" center post. What kinda options for retailers am I looking at for tilt/swivel monitor setup? Also the center post to rods to monitor attachment? All your help and direction is much appreciated.
  9. do you know who sells the small alexa plate? not interested atm in the antivibration one.
  10. I have been told they are going to send me a new one. I am going to miss my custom case I had for it but otherwise this is great news!
  11. I now have Peters Zalex Handle for the flyer on my rig and I am very happy to have it. I operated the flyer for 7 years and have grown comfortable with the flyer handle. However the original flyer handle often was to short for my pinky on big tilts. I often found myself balancing the rig on my pinky past the grip on the bare 3/4" post. The Zalex eliminates this problem by extending the handle grip further down the post by a few inches. That alone has made this upgrade worth it. The thicker 1.5" handle is a great upgrade for my large hands. Now all my rigs are 1.5" grips. It has been nice to have new grip too. My old handle was very worn down. The upgrade is reversible but I don't see myself taking this off. Looking forward to trying it out on my next flyer gig. I recommend this to any serious flyer operators.
  12. 2 Months later.... After paying $42 to ship the decimator unit with my custom protective padded box I found out via tracking that the decimator was delivered. However they DON'T have it at Symbiosis. As of right now it seems the unit is lost. Although I have 30 days wait while USPS investigates.... I paid $55.20 total ( first shipping cost to CA. $13.20 ) ....... to lose my half working decimator and custom protective box. Upsetting is an understatement. Easily the worst experience trying to get something in warranty repaired .....ever.
  13. To have my Merlin pan flat I added these home made antler. I use - manfrotto nanoclamp - to connect to the merlin. 1/4" screw to 1/2" zacuto rail connection ( the nanocamp has holes for 1/4 and 3/th screws) 1" zacuto rail 1 Zacuto z grip 10" male to female and 7" zacuto rails 2-4 clamps as weights. Z grips also work. The rig seems to fly much better than previously. Now seems I just go crazy by the play in the hinges.....
  14. My decimator was working but had some weird greyed output in the image. - On march 18 my decimator reached Tecads after I paid to ship it for in warranty repair. - I get a response saying they will try to get it done in less than a month... - Yesterday, after a month passes I ask how progress is going and they send this. "Im sorry to have to give you the bad news, but our contract with Decimator ended and we are no longer fixing the units, you will have to contact them for more information. I will be shipping your unit back tomorrow." ..... Living in NYC, Any recommendations?
  15. Thanks Guys, Everything went well. Ended up on a 15-40mm and rotated around the talent at the same distance with a track. I had an assistant who was only suppose to spot me however I had him pull zoom on the bartech transmitter since I find the gimbal control a bit jumpy on the bartech.
  16. c300 Production just threw this at me. I had the same response. just wanted to make sure there was something I didn't know. If anyone want to rent out a proper setup tomorrow I may be able to get you a rental. I am already using my bartech gimble control device to pull my own focus....
  17. I got this Microforce V+F3 that I am suppose to use for pulling my own zoom durring a show Sat. I know there are preston gimble mounts but this is not that. Anyone ever mount something like this and use it successfully while operating?
