  2. I am having issues with my pro 1 lite sled video signal to my monitor. Using DB2 top stage. Looking to meet up with another owner who like to network (get some free drinks, meal or other return favors) and can help me troubleshot what part might be causing me issues. Like to test so to narrow it down to the center post cable, DB2 or battery hanger before I send off as needed.
  3. Selling Docking Bracket Fits pro rigs. ( I use it on my pro 1 Lite. ) Balancing stud can be replaced as needed. includes - formed curved metal thumb screw (attached) - aircraft pin attached with metal leash. (attached) I am to much of a minimalist to carry 2 docking brackets around. My OCD is your gain. asking $225 OBO Feel free to ask questions, or let me know if they are generally going for less. Thanks guys.
  4. Has anyone tried velcro on an allen wrench to the underside on their arm? Looking for any tips to make the arm easy and quick to adjust thank you.
  5. I have this gear thing which I am not sure the exact name for. I have not found a situation where I need it to allow the motor to reach the lens gears. Can anyone post their situation where a device like this was useful? If not camera setups maybe something else? Thanks,

  7. Hey Manny, Real pleasure to hear from you. I have visited your site a few times before for inspiration and as a self guide. love to meetup in person when we get the chance. Victor - great rig. thanks for responding. I live right off the L train on Morgan so Williamsburg is my stomping ground. should be easy for us to meetup :-) I look forward to meeting the both of you. Now that I own a rig for large cameras I love to meet operators of all kinds in this area. Especially Bush-wick.
  8. Sugru is like silly putty that hardens, https://sugru.com/ They were well hidden. got that now, Thanks James. . I can cut off the sugru anytime, however I like the sensitive torque it seems to add and that I can confirm it is side to side vs front to back with its distinctive handle.
  9. I use sugru to make my side to side adjustment on my steadicam flyer top stage easier to turn. Anyone else have any sugru steadicam hacks? I bet there are a few tweaks
  10. You are right Lawrence. This has nothing to do with steadicam besides Velcro and the legacy of Ted Churchill. Since some other operators I know personally thought it was entertaining amount of velcro, I thought I post it. If this off topic forum is not for such things, my mistake. If it is to much a stretch, or upsetting to anyone, I am ok with this thread being deleted.
  11. Ted Churchill has long been my steadicam hero. However, it was not until I had everything I owned on velcro that I learned he also was known as the Velcro King. After hearing so many stories from the legends around here (enough similarities that its troubling ) it saddens me that we never met. If anyone has photos of his velcro setup I love to see them. Anyways here is a little look into my little room in Brooklyn( if you are in the NYC area and we have not met, contact me) . Hopefully this video makes you smile. If you are on virgin airlines in the next few months you can see it on the flights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeJLYXDDpuw
  12. I thought maybe it was that but monitor on camera seemed good and not on false color. I thought I might have been seeing the same issue on a c300 the day before. But not certain. Just had the c300 output SD that day. The wireless video signal was the same image. I don't have any other cameras to test it on but I will as soon as I get the chance. thanks guys.
  13. I have been having some issues with my decimator recently outputting a signal that looks normal on half of objects but washed out grey in brighter portions of the frame. using a F3 camera. any advise or ideas? Thank you. I am attaching an image of what I have been seeing. The camera was not in focus when I snapped the photo.
  14. Looking for any type of used or low cost v mount batteries. Please email: Fasanella@gmail.com Thank you
  15. I love to join in on this. I have 2 steadicams, Bartech, Video transmitter and lots of other non traditional gear like Lights, Sound gear, Cameras, Lenses, fluid head tripod and other camera support stuff. http://www.smoothcamera.com/equipment/ just this past month I was in need of Kinoflow lights, a zoom recorder and a second bartech unit. Special thanks to Yousheng Tang, Michael Hauer and Brendan Banks
  16. After having the bottom batteries drop on me I have been making sure my post screw to adjust centerpost length has been tight. Maybe to tight as the part on the inside, the rounded nut like part is striped. Looking to figure out whats its called and where I might be able to find a replacement. Image in attachment I also like to make sure I don't damage my centerpost by over tightening. Any tips out there? Is there any kind of washer I should have on the inside to help with griping the posts vs the metal on metal situation? I have a nice plastic washer on the outside and I think one at the right shape be good on the inside. Thank you.
  17. Hey guys, I have been looking at a Master Arms and Sleds and 3A rigs. But only because of price. I have a steadistand and v mount batteries from my steadicam flyer which I can use with AB setups using a AB to v mount adapter plate. Some you may know the difficulties I encountered since moving to New York City. This past year has been getting tuff since big productions stopped frequently using SLR's. Then last April I had a pinch of cancer removed again (this time from my nose) and my life savings was back to 0. It was a dark moment and I committed to myself that I get serious about purchasing a large rig to help not get in that situation again. Saving every cent, I have managed to reach 10k. Love to hear what rigs that are ready to work that people have available for my price range. I am also available to work as an assistant, AC, editor, or even help build your website to help pay for such a rig. Thank you.
  18. Ha Charles, that is uncanny! Thanks for the advice.
  19. I just put together a new reel since I was told my old reel needed some celebrities. I have issues with length of cuts when going for 1 min. Do you think very quick cuts show experience or more so hint at not so great operating? I also feel I can lose some shots. Love to hear thoughts. Thank You https://vimeo.com/50798702
