  1. I am the second owner of this vest. For me, it was a great vest to learn on. It was formally owned by operator Bruce Borland. It comes with a soft vest case. I'm 5'11" and 165lbs with a 32" waist, That seemed to be a good fit for me. It has some wear on it but nothing that impedes its performance. I've also had velcro stitched in for a wider range of adjustment. Will ship for free in the US via usps. Buyer pays for additional shipping options.
  2. I need a longer arm post looking to get a 10" or around there. more or less.
  3. Similar here, a little over a month ago I ordered a new gimbal. Before paying they were pretty easy to chat with. After it's been difficult. Today I called this number +44 7889734307 and Ashley picked up. Supposedly this week Karen has been out on holiday. but that number should get you to someone. They said another week for my gimbal. I am nervous.
  4. I obtained a Walter Klassen vest, with a goofy drop down arm. I'm looking to get a regular side one. I am opened to trades for the goofy. KJ
  5. Looking for a plate long enough and milled to fit the Alexa to get rid of that wiggle jiggle. Also looking for any other small accessories that may come in handy. 15mm to 19mm bushing adaptors, single rods for my 3a plates, MKV cables, a place to find thumb screws to replace Allen screws that hold my battery tray in place, and anything else you think a first year operator would need. I love you all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Looking to get some more MK-v cables into my kit. Bartech power Decimator power Various Camera power ptap splitter Any odds and ends that you folks may have floating around I'm located in NYC if that makes it easier for anyone.
  7. So it looks like I will be purchasing a master Series sled. Now I just need the arm. If anyone has any leads, I have a budget of $3000 for an arm.
  8. I've used a cinegears, and that sometimes had issues connecting/syncing with the motor, and the mounting hardware can be a bit annoying (ie. tightening the thumbscrews so ridiculously tight to keep the motor from slipping.) but it's in that price range. It's lighter than others because the motors receiver is built-into the motor. I just picked up a Bartech, used, for your budget, in a fantastic working condition.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm so happy to now be apart of these forums. There is a wealth of information on here that I am just soaking up, and I can't believe there is such a wonderful community with members who I instantly recognize from call sheets and credits. It's amazing. So now I am reaching out to source the materials I need to finish my set up. It looks like I got a lockdown on my vest and purchased a Bartech yesterday. Now I'm onto the rest of my rig! I'm currently looking for an arm and a vest. As much as the zephyr and other lighter rigs interest me, my hopes is to fly the heavier packages I work with often. I hear the 3a arm is a good place to start, but I was wondering if anyone had some extra gear lying around they hadn't already posted in the marketplace. After the Bartech and vest the budget is looking tighter and tighter. I know, early on, there is always an opportunity to subrent but I really would love to spend my days off tinkering and practicing to hone these skills. My budget is hovering around $5k left, but with some wiggle room thanks to a few credit cards, but perpetual debt is not something I'm looking forward to. If anyone has advice or other resources to check out I would love to hear it. Till then I'll keep reading the archives and learning what I can, sans rig. Thank you, KJ
  10. Maybe this can be a sticky topic? I have unfortunately fell victim to the same mistake. Could I have my username changed to Kevin Jacobsen?
