  3. Jerry, Don't hate me... Can you make these in different colors? asking for a friend... Love, Kevin
  4. Ear tec for smaller gigs, where you aren't displaced, really spread out etc. They are fast, and cheap so if one breaks its not the end of the world. The things that break are the mic attachements, they lose their tension and don't hold the position. Rubber bands/bongo ties can fix this by adding friction. But if they are treated well, they will last, I've had mine for about 2 years. The HME's way more versatile, good for bigger gigs, and where communication between multiple departments for specialty shots, stunts, heavy coordination is a must. The ac's still have to monitor batteries on the headsets for both, and when transporting I usually hand my headset off to one of them anyway. HME's are great for high end projects that have the money to rent the kit. but if you are just packaging your headsets into your base kit and have a quick fix for those times no one thought about communication, then ear tec is the way. Personal note: The sounds HME's make ie. beeps, etc. are more annoying than the eartecs, even though when the base station or master headset of the eartecs dies, the incessant beeping would drive anyone mad. Also a broken HME is still possible, and those are a bit more to fix/replace
  5. I have a flowcine x spine on the forums listed
  6. I finally got around to taking pictures. included are the original replacement parts and the new and improved replacement parts. This is the vest with some minor cosmetic scuffs but most of those parts are replaceable with the new parts sent from flowcine. 100% functional. these new parts are lighter, stronger, and sized correctly for the vest. improved parts are straps, shoulder buckles, screws, spine, waist hinges doors, waist buckles, and front mount assembly. the new price is $5400 plus shipping USA/Canada Only brand new from the site with the back relief pad is 5485 plus shipping and most likely VAT/import tax.
  7. I bought this vest practically new from an early adopter. I just really wanted to try something different from the pro vest. the previous owner had not used it on set because they intended to return to flowcine. flowcine was notified that I was the new owner and sent me a mountain of replacement parts, to replace the early version with its current build. I have not replaced any of the parts with the new ones, so they are all brand new. the vest also comes with all of the early version back ups. extra pads, extra buckles, extra straps, storage bag, etc. and it comes with the back support pad as well ($425) will provide photos for serious inquires or when I get around to posting them. $5800 for a practically brand new vest no wait times, no import costs, and if you come by you can try it on. located in NYC or Miami.
  8. I love the xdrop, I’d totally buy this if it made sense to have two… double xdrop??? 7.8 inches lower!
  9. I’ll have one in MIami depending on date
  10. Tiffen makes 1/4-20 screw add-on weights. Screw on to your monitor or any threaded 1/4 hole. you can get an accessory plate with gold mount or vmount so you can attach a cheese plate to your battery hanger. Then attach whatever to that for weight. The op Koon from Thailand, added little blocks of weight inside of his lower electronics junction box. He flies a cinelive. on board monitor battery low budget option: wrist weights for exercise attached to the monitor mount rails… yup.
  11. They have different pad sizes, custom cut to ops sizes. Which part is too big, the waist, chest or upper back/shoulders? the waist can be trimmed down, confirmed it with Jack. You’ll just have a little material left over (the encasing) that can be left or sewn shorter. can you take a picture of your vest on your body? And show us the spots where it is loose?
  12. All have benefits real brief and my opinion tiffen, faster fine tune adjustments, exposed springs, if you can get in touch with customer support they are fairly helpful. Also a large number of ops use it so there is lot of helpful info flying around. flowcine great execution awesome price point and amazing support, weight ranges between spring cores are a little short but I hear great things. xarm Has been widely adopted overseas, haven’t used but it’s a light arm that can take heavy loads. Can’t speak to the nuance of performance nb stabilizer is the only one that uses exposed “rubber” bands to adjust its capacity. Some people swear by it, I’ve never used it, but there is a video of it failing on the internet… so I don’t know. my 2 cents
  13. Vice grip should suffice. You may scuff up the pin a little but that ain't too bad.
  14. I have v2's not sure of their condition. I'll be around them later this month.
  15. Contact them
  16. Ronford baker makes one. Its called the Sony Venice Extension Block http://www.camade.us/page/homepage I believe they sell them. Also two of Tom Wills' blue riser plates and a tiny bit of gaff also did the trick.
  17. The arri dovetail, is that for the Amira system or the LF system?
  18. I have the 1.5 docking fork, but not the rest of the bracket with balancing stud.
  19. Just the 2 inch fork and rings are necessary. Id be willing to trade for a 1.5" fork and rings.
