Tiffen makes 1/4-20 screw add-on weights. Screw on to your monitor or any threaded 1/4 hole. you can get an accessory plate with gold mount or vmount so you can attach a cheese plate to your battery hanger. Then attach whatever to that for weight. The op Koon from Thailand, added little blocks of weight inside of his lower electronics junction box. He flies a cinelive. on board monitor battery low budget option: wrist weights for exercise attached to the monitor mount rails… yup.

They have different pad sizes, custom cut to ops sizes. Which part is too big, the waist, chest or upper back/shoulders? the waist can be trimmed down, confirmed it with Jack. You’ll just have a little material left over (the encasing) that can be left or sewn shorter. can you take a picture of your vest on your body? And show us the spots where it is loose?

Vice grip should suffice. You may scuff up the pin a little but that ain't too bad.

The arri dovetail, is that for the Amira system or the LF system?

I have the 1.5 docking fork, but not the rest of the bracket with balancing stud.

Just the 2 inch fork and rings are necessary. Id be willing to trade for a 1.5" fork and rings.

Looking for anything that I can add to my kit before I buy all new.

Do you have the serial numbers to these arms you are selling? We can cross check with tiffen about being true g70's and g70x upgrades, etc.

Fits in a 1650 with an arm, dock and one inovativ wheel.

Well I'd listen to Jerry, he's an OG vet and leads the SOA workshop. As a volt owner, when it works, it's a shot saver and definitely makes shooting days better. As a new op, I'd be hesitant on relying on it early on. Just remove the drive assembly when practicing without it.

Fair price with the volt. First rig, skip the volt. It will inhibit your skill set. It may make you appear more capable but you'll lack complete understanding of operating. Two options I see. Go through with the purchase and sell the volt, use that cash for the other accessories you'll need, bits and bobs, maybe a cart, zalex long plate, digital level, etc. Or keep it and use it sparingly. Selling it may give you a head start on some other purchases.

About to purchase a second rig and bringing some parts over. The old rig will be losing its gimbal. Still debating whether to just have it as a back up rig or sell it complete. As for the gimbal, I prefer something in good condition, I'm not looking to spend too much so looking for the lonely babies that just sit doing nothing.

Neutral balance could help, maybe skinny up the sled too, I know that would lower pan inertia, but I could see it helping for the tilt. Whip tilts sound scary.

It sounds like when you are turning the volt on you didn't do so with the gimbal in the correct position. The gimbal handle needs to be oriented in a specific way when the volt powers up. I believe with goofy set ups the gimbal handle should be in line with the front of the camera as opposed to being in line with the rear of the camera for regular operating. If this is not the case please feel free to DM me as I have a long list of troubleshooting techniques.

Honestly, I don't blame you. I feel like I'm stuck in a loveless marriage with mine. It's exhausting just trying to see if they have little/common things to improve my sled.

You'll need to be specific as to which set of electronics you have from mkv. All of their center post cables are different. I've even seen different connectors within the same model.
