Lens options for the NEX-FS100 on a Steadicam
Jay Kim replied to Shawn Sutherland's topic in Cameras (Film/Video/HD)
Or you can use most A-mount(Alpha) lenses using sony LA-EA1 lens adapter. Minolta, Sony, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina and Carl Zeiss made lenses for a-mount. Moreover, Auto Focus and Auto Exposure will work fine with those lenses. -
I reported the listing to ebay as a suspicious listing. Let's see...

It is a scam. Look at his other items for sale! If he owns all those items, he is already loaded with money and why bother selling them on ebay? Fender Precision Bass 1959, Hasselblad, Leica, Digidesign Control 24... The guy used to sell only batteies. Look at his feedbacks. SCAM!!

Kelso, sorry but I have to correct your wron statement. X-22 sled does have a no-tools gimbal like it's big brother, Gold and X-25. And it is not that hard to make dynamic balance. Also it is not a copy of Smooth Shooter. It is more like their discontinued V-25. However, it doesn't have multiple power and video connectors, including HD like Zephyr. For that reason alone, I think Zephyr is a better system and Tiffen did a good job on this. I don't have a neither system, I own a PRO 2 sled and GIldecam Gold sled. And trust me, I won't trade my GC Gold (Ford?) with Zephyr (Ferrari really?). Also there's another post about this topic a year ago. http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=12191 Fly Safe, From my iPhone

I use a little device called 'Micky' made by Markus at Baer-Bel and this simple device makes the above procedure so easy. If you want to see how it works, check this YouTube video.

Only one day left with the starting price about 1/3 of current retail price! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230650835423&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_1462wt_922 B&H sells it for over $16,000 for a sled. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/395406-REG/Glidecam_Gold_Series_Sled_w_Anton.html I own a PRO 2 rig and I don't need a second sled, so it's your chance to get a budget friendly, Made in USA, large size rig if you own a small rig. Good Luck!

I think you need a monitor with built-in Vector Scope and Waveform display. It used to be very expensive to get a monitor with these features built-in (such as one from Astro Design) but now it gets much cheaper and you can get a 7 or 8" HD-SDI/HDMI monitor with Vector Scope/Waveform for less than $2500 USD (BON and TV Logic's monitor I saw at NAB, Panasonic BT-LH80WU, or Glidecam HD-7 monitor). It's good to have those features but I pesonally don't understand why they need to look at your monitor to check lighting. If you are looking for a real daylight steadicam monitor, you should look at Chris Bangma's Cinetronic monitor($5,000). Or check this forum discussion.
