after some more research I have found a battery, that at least according to the specs, might be the best suited Steadicam battery for now. The box converts 12 to 24 volts, it's a booster. The Mdr operates at 24 v. The start/stop connector is bigger than on the Mdr2.

Yes, completely agree with you on that Anton Bauer missed the mark for the STEADICAM world with any of their new batteries. Unfortunately.
