XCS did this pretty much with the Ultimate 1 and now 2....selectable voltage and so on...

It's a personal choice. I like the HD6 for it's weight and size, balances perfectly, I have the screen -60/+80, like most. Yoke depends on the rig you fly, I like the cam-jam adjustability better. Go to Transvideo in Studio City and take a look.

Hi guys,
is anybody using the TR-04 cart with the steadicam RISER unit out there, they pretty much stopped making the TR-05....
-
Still looking
-
"about a full half inch" ???
that doesn't make any sense, sorry.
Different manufacturers have different tolerances, that is normal. Ask the manufacturers before the purchase to avoid headaches later.

Looking for a used Backstage TR-05 cart.

Alec, just fyi. I just measured the HD6 screen.
The 4:3 is 6 1/2" across.
The 16:9 image area is 5 7/8" across.

this is a great video to understand the different Alexa Mini builds and available brackets
-
Hi Alec,
yes, the screen on the HD6 is actually 6.1" 4/3 and the top 16/9 portion is used for the image and the bottom (roughly 1") for waveform and level display overlay. Just from memory, I sold my TB-6 last year, The image area is definitely bigger.
Agreed, back to the fact that the "backlight leds" on the DP7HB are not being diffused properly or evenly due to improper design and manufacturing...:-)
-
Alec, I absolutely agree, I would be fantastic if Transvideo adds a new high brightness (1500 nits) 7" 16/9 monitor with built-in gyro level and framelines.
But for me, personally, the HD6 x-sbl is not to small, the image is actually much bigger than on the TB-6 and by far the best LCD STEADICAM monitor at the moment.
And btw I'm tired of half-ass engineered products and bad customer service from companies like Cinetronic and SmallHD... -
I can only encourage you guys and try out a Transvideo monitor. You will immediately see the difference in build quality and customer service.

Gen 2 is a completely different animal.

Some of them had an incorrect resistor on the main board and needed to be replaced by Chris to except Analog video. Try a full reset otherwise it needs to go back for repair. Comp2 is the 8pin input.
Or cross-convert from Composite to SDI.

this might by the fastest route......
-
It's a manufacturing and design problem, not a high brightness issue at all.
-
they don't make analog motors anymore...
-
Currently still in development stages, no release date at this point.
-
Greg over-engineers everything in a good way. I'm sure it's more than sufficient.

as i stated not a product for every application, but certainly interesting for long range projects...
