  1. Hi there I already sent a mail to Tim Tyler, but I thought I also write here to see why this happens.

Every time I try to sign in after signing out of the forum, the system will no recognize my password or keep me signed in ticking the box , and when I put the password on it will tell me its the wrong password. The only way to sign in is to choose the option FORGOT PASSWORD and then I receive a mail that guides me to change password and as soon as I do I'm signed in. But if I sign out and try to sign in again it will again tell me that the new password is again incorrect. I must have done this over 8-9 times already so anyone else that might have this prob could comment. The passwords are ALWAYS correct in both characters and capitals so something funky is been happening.

    regards

  2. Hi , if you have no prob with connecting and adjusting your arm and you can handle it, and also if you have no problem with the range space area working with your xARM , the xBONE will not feel any better and will add additional weight that might not be something you like at all times. The xARM is a beast and can take the different positioning forces with out problem, and you are working with the lightest possible configuration. I designed the xBONE so that one can adjust tilt tooless and to be able to reach the adjustments and have the correct space area range to work around different moves, other than that , I think if you are happy with your set up and overcome those probs, thats all it matters and you dont need to add anything, unless you feel limited in any kind of moves. The first proto of the xBONE was just a small back mount arm that pretty much did what you are doing, but only had the twist knob adjustment to do this easier, and I found it working well for me, but others with bigger body size didnt and felt limited, so it all depends on many factors , and operating style for every individual. Thank you.

This is both hilarious and fascinating at the same time...

I have not found the "starting and stopping buffer zone" to be very affected by this mounting method, but I bet if I tried the XBone I would love it even more.

  4. Hello Emiliano , many of our customers use the xARM with the WK vest . The xARM ships with 2 different socket blocks, one for front mounted vests and one for back mounts which is a solid stainless steel socket block. Both socket blocks work with back mount vests with no problems , no rod ends to break or anything, but its better to use the solid socket block which is more made for this since you dont need any of the adjustments and the spring articulation. my Mail is constantine@flowcine.com and if you like I can get you in touch with a few ops that use the WK vest with our xARM. Kind regards

  5. Whoever pleases to test the xARM we are in cinegear atlanta booth 135 and 136 . Thank you.

  6. Hello!

Does anybody use the xarm with the zephyr vest?

Since there is a small socket block, one would need to get a large socket block for the vest, in order to attach the arm, right?

    Thanks, Ben

Hello. Next month you will also be able to purchace a compatible socket block that also allows you more tilt adjustment than PRO or TIFFEN socket blocks from Flowcine. So you will be able to get it directly from flowcine. thank you.

  7. Hi Al, I was interested as have heard (from whom I dont remember) that the back mount puts more stress on the two pins connecting the steel block to the arm. Ive heard about these failing even on arms connected to front mount vests so was just trying to see if I could circumvent the issue prior to any failure.

Purely part of my mild OCD..

I have a g70x so sadly I dont think there is an off the shelf option for me. I engaged MKV in knocking something up but didnt chase it and its probably at the bottom of a long list at the moment.

Id just buy the Klassen one if I had a pro. Purely for peace of mind.

Hope youre well. I was an assistant on Other Bolyen Girl many moons (a decade!) ago, not sure youd remember me though..!

    Best

    Dan.

Hey Dan, I remember meeting you at BSC but cant recall , are you a front mount or a back mount user? I saw a picture at your profile operating front mount but I might be wrong here. WK states that the rigid soc block is for both Pro and tiffen arms but you will be missing one of the 2 adjustments if you are a front mount user. cheers

  8. Hello . The xARM has changed a lot since Feb that was displayed in Munich, at the time it was at a proto testing mode.

The new xARM is now shipping and info and specs can be found here. http://www.flowcine.com/home/105-xarm.html

About the spring cores. They are indeed made with multible ruber tubes in various configurations.

The stated tange of each core is specified on it and it covers a range of around 6kgr, but bare in mind that all cores are over rated at both ends, so you can easily down tune each core 1.5 kgr or uptune it 1.5kgr and have a more expamted range . The specification rated on each core is the limits you get the very best of its performance.

The xARM is silky smooth , rigid with SS socket blocks and Ti arm posts, it has a big boom range of 780mm or 30.7 inch, and it weights no matter what spring core you are using at 4.8 Kgr thats with the stainless steel socket block.

the responce is excellent specially in very slow step moves , and effortless booming the arm up or down.

Any questions you migh thave I will be glad to answer them here or in my mail constantine@flowcine.com.

The xARM comes all with 3 different spring cores covering a range u to 29 kgr as standard and you can also get optional spring cores for lower weight rigs with min 8kgr.IThe package also includes a front mount socket block , as well as a back mount solid SS socket block, all 3 different tiffen and pro-gpi titanium arm posts and all tools all in a nice pelican air case.More accessories are on the make like low mode brack, a new socket block drop down adapter , high post , etc

    some videos

You can change both spring cores in under 2 minutes some quick videos I made here .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-9rPUfoK1U&t=18s

    also tuning procedure here

we were at both Cinegear 2018 and the stabilizing expo and next show will be IBC 2018. Feel free to come fly the xARM with our cinelive sled more than welcome.

    thank you
