Docking Collar won't stay.
Eric Fletcher S.O.C. replied to Rod Calarco's topic in General Discussion
Get the docking collar from Greg it has a stop pin that acts as a safety for the UCP locking ring which the docking ring is best under -
You mean that big silver clamp that locks the rear batteries in place?

Greg's quote was "The monitor is called the XCS TB7 and it will be out before years end." It will is a promise

Steadicam Plateau: What gear do we want next?
Eric Fletcher S.O.C. replied to William Demeritt's topic in General Discussion
Just because your horizon is level and you have tamed roll and headroom doesn't mean that you can get perfect shots or are a great operator. And I would hazard to say has you missing the point of what an operator does. Operating is about framing and timing and feel and emotion. It's about what you do between the marks that makes you an operator. -

Jim I remember when your were finishing up the BarTech one of my motors was used, that's my claim to your fame and that's where it ends. CONGRATS on building a kickass product for 15+ years and continuing to deliver product And screw Howard and his lies

Hybrid Brushless roll cage on top of Steadicam.
Eric Fletcher S.O.C. replied to Abad Rosa's topic in General Discussion
Howard's "Patent" is an application he doesn't have a patent as he claims, and he's been making quite a few claims of gear he's developed that he hasn't including taking credit for "inventing" the BarTech To learn more about this read Dan Kneece's post on Facebook https://facebook.com/groups/2247691628?view=permalink&id=10152067285896629 And Peter Abrahams post here. https://facebook.com/groups/2247691628?view=permalink&id=10152061233496629 Be sure to expand all the comments It gets very interesting and not in a good way for Howard -
I'm sorry Alan isn't availble to post right now. His mind has been blown. Go back and reread Chris and mines posts. We alluded to it a few times Why do you think I knew about smallHD's delivery schedule?

Hybrid Brushless roll cage on top of Steadicam.
Eric Fletcher S.O.C. replied to Abad Rosa's topic in General Discussion
Actually the Patent was bought by Tiffen from Lynn. As for Chris "actualizing" the patent concept, you short change Lynn's original work which includes a fully working device -
Hybrid Brushless roll cage on top of Steadicam.
Eric Fletcher S.O.C. replied to Abad Rosa's topic in General Discussion
Well Howard has never paid anything. He's only ripped Lynn off and claims that HE has a patent on the MK-V AR and when pressed for patent numbers he will never cite them. A patent search also shows no Patents for Howard Smith or MK-V. There is a Howard Smith with two patents but he's a doctor and it's for medical devices. -

Actually it was a brushless motor, and Chris didn't exactly "invent" it Peter he just built a version of a prior art -
Alexa XT on Steadicam Zephyr (low mode)
Eric Fletcher S.O.C. replied to a topic in General Discussion
Tell the DP you need to change his choice of lenses because you said yes to a job and don't have the proper gear.... That's going to go over well
