  1. Except Jess, it's better for Arri to use multiple pins for internal power distribution. So while it may I inconvenience you it's a better way for Arri and it helps to make the camera smaller
  2. Yup is the 9.5 to 19 rectilinear Ziess what's really cool about it is any light or ping in the corners is a perfect circle not a rounded rectangle like the 8R. It's a VERY cool lens. When Bill Bennett saw it he was literally jumping up and down
  3. I hear you Doc. With the new super short zoom they have to have image flip since the lens doesn't have the final relay optics to flip the image
  4. Coming out in SUP10 which is supposed to be released very soon. At the same time they will be releasing the 9-21 zoom
  5. I tried to get the designers to go with the fisher but they showed me why it needs to be an 8pin and it's done for reason. No need to complain about it just move on
  6. To carry the current required and longevity. The sliding base does not come off, you use a Alexa plate. The one that will be up on Film-stuff on friday will be the perfect plate.
  7. guys, it's INCOME. Rental income but 1099 income nevertheless. depending on how you structure your equipment purchases you could (and possibly can I haven't looked at the rules for this year) do a part 179 accelerated deprecation on the gear to offset income. Those avenues are going away. Bottom line is that it IS taxable and anyone who says otherwise probably isn't going to stand up for you in your audit.
  8. Water Displacing Formula 40. It's not a lubricant at all, it dries and drives out moisture
  9. And I'm not sure what the studios positions are going to be on open transmission via wifi. Imagine fans sitting outside the studio watching the movie as it's being made...
  10. I'll post pictures of the prototype tomorrow. I'm working with it and want to make sure it's right when we release it. So far everyone that's seen it loves it
  11. Thats a pretty huge generalization. And often not true. Nodal is good because when doing shots with stong veticals your tilt is exactly that a tilt. Not a arc
  12. The preceding message was brought to you by an employee of the Tiffen company and should tell you that he has a vested interest in you buying their products,,, But he won't
  13. I have the entire wiring and manufacturing blueprints for a Bluebox boat anchor NCQC-12 charger
  14. why can't you use a PDL with a Cinetronic monitor? they both take analog (SD) Video in.
