  1. Hi guys my old camcorder reached the (well deserved) end of it's life and now I'm looking for a new practice camera. I don't particularly like practice cages, so if anyone of you has an old ENG camera laying around or has a model she/he can recommend, that would be greatly appreciated! Let me know, and thanks in advance!
  2. Hi! Would you be willing to sell the arm seperately? What would be your price?
  3. Selling my trusty g50x arm from Tiffen / Steadicam. I am the 2nd owner and I've always been really happy with it! I'm only selling because it's time for me to upgrade to a higher payload, and at the moment I can't afford to keep it as a backup. The arm is currently serviced at Tiffen in Burbank, so you're getting a perfectly functioning arm with only some cosmetic scratches. I'll post an update as soon as I have a definitive list of all the parts they replaced (I'm guessing bearings and some cleaning). The arm comes with both a 3/4'' and 5/8'' arm post, a bag and a rain cover. I'll also include a low mode bracket from Glidecam (5/8'') for free. I'm not sure how long the service will take at Tiffen, but it might be possible to ship it directly to its new owner if you're based in America (if we can sort out the VAT issue). Otherwise I would prefer shipping within Europe (at buyer's cost). Looking for 6500 Dollars / 6000 Euros, open for reasonable offers. Feel free to contact me with any questions!
  4. I'm sorry the vest didn't work for you - let me know if you need any help in re-selling the vest.
  5. Price drop: 4600 Euros (plus shipping) or 3200 Euros without monitor and Camjam monitor mount.
  6. Selling my Glidecam X45 sled with a lot of accessories. Was my workhorse for several years, bought it in 2019 directly from Glidecam in America. Great sled for younger operators to get started with Steadicam operating, as it carries almost every camera out there. After a few years and many great projects, it is time for me to upgrade. The kid includes: X45 sled with Docking Bracket (2x V-Mount plates) Two blue camera plates (one of them has additional holes for a Betz Wave) Cam-Jam Monitor Mount, Atomos Shogun Inferno with V-Mount plate and screen protection PeliCase 1650 (wheels, the inlet foam has suffered a bit and might need to be replaced someday) SDI-cables, monitor power cables, screws and various accessories The sled is in good working condition, has a few cosmetic bumps and scratches, but nothing that affects operating. I re-wired the sled a few months ago, because the SDI dropped out a couple of times. Local pickup in Switzerland or Germany would be appreciated, but I can also ship worldwide at buyer's expense - preferably within Europe. Happy to send more pictures or to show you the sled in a video call. Feel free to contact me with any questions! Looking for 4900 Euros OBO. Make me an offer. Willing to sell for 3500 Euros without Cam-Jam mount and Shogun (instead with standard monitor bracket from Glidecam) Camera, Betz Wave1, Cinelevel, arm, vest, light stand and batteries are not included :-)
  7. Selling my trusty Steadicam LX vest. I am the 2nd owner and everything is in good and working condition. It comes with a hondall bag and some spare parts (see pictures). Cosmetic wear and tear as shown on the pictures. I cut a little part of the hip piece in order to get the socket block a little bit more down. Doesn't affect the operating and I personally loved having the socket block a tiny bit lower. Based in Switzerland, shipping world-wide at buyer's expense. Asking 1800 Euros OBO.
  8. Habe dir eine Direktnachricht geschickt! Grüße aus der Schweiz!
  9. Cool, thanks for the advise! I will check this out and try it as soon as our stores re-open here... Have a great day, and stay healthy! Raphi
  10. Hi Thomas! I recently saw a picture of your old X45 sled and noticed something that looked like a V mount-battery plate at the bottom of the sled (adding to the two on the battery hanger). Did you install that plate yourself or was that already there when you ordered it? I think it would massively help to get the rig into dynamic balance...

    All the best

  11. Thank you so much Lisa! I already read the handbook's advice, but I will certainly check out Jerry's website, and the tipp with the weights is definitely something I'm going to try out! Have a great day, and thanks for your time and advise!
  12. I mean, for most cases I find it very much possible to operate like that. But fast whip-pans prove to be a lot trickier than with lighter cameras...
  13. Hi Corey Thanks for your answer! I'm currently testing out the Glidecam X45 with the g50x arm... It has a dual-battery hanger behind the post and a monitor arm in the front...
  14. Hi there! As I had the opportunity to borrow a friend's rig, I recently started to operate heavier cameras after learning to operate with lightweight setups (FS5 etc.). Now I have some kind of a noob struggle: I have no problem putting the rig in static balance. However, I find it very hard to balance it dynamically. As the guidebooks and tutorials advise, a good start for dynamic balance would be to put the camera’s CG a tiny bit behind the central post. But by doing so, I cannot put the rig in static balance any longer, as the batteries at the back of the bottom stage are way heavier than my monitor. Also, I cannot move my monitor uphill in order to get a better look at it or to balance the rig dynamically, because I need the weight at the bottom to get it statically balanced. Have any of you had this problem too? I cannot reduce my batteries’ weight, I need them for my static balance. And I already attached the heaviest V-Mount battery to my monitor to bring it back to balance. Still, the monitor is way too light… I don’t want to extend my post too much (that way I could get rid of one battery on the battery hanger)… Any advice from a pro?
  15. Hi Antoine I'm currently selling my first rig (Glidecam X20), as I upgraded to another setup. Would you be interested? You can load it up to 9kg, I flew many cameras on it, including FS5, FS7, Alexa Mini and RED models... I bought it directly from Glidecam for around 5700 Dollars, would part with it for 2500 Dollars plus shipping. I could also include a few accessories to get you started. Maybe it's a bit overkill for you, as you mentioned you would only fly small mirrorless or DSLR cameras, but feel free to hit me up when you are interested. Or maybe you want to take a workshop first or operate a really cheap stabilizer to see if you like operating? I really loved this baby and learned so much with it... I also started operating in filmschool :-) If you want to buy a cheaper solution first, I can generally highly recommend the Glidecam products. But I don't think you necessarily need a vest and arm just for a Alpha 7s. :-) Greetings from Switzerland Raphi
  16. Hi Nick Not sure if you're still looking for a rig... I started with a Glidecam X20 a few years ago and loved it. Of course, Steadicam or Sachtler products give you a bit more flexibility, more connectors etc. But it works just fine and the gimbal is really great. I still use a Glidecam sled (X45), but changed the vest and arm to Steadicam (G50x and LX vest) - I don't have any complaints about the Glidecam sled. Really solid build quality. You can pack a Mini or RED on the X20, although it gets really close to the maximum weight capacity... I'm selling the X20, as I didn't use it for the past few months - hit me up if you're interested :) Looking for around 2500 Dollars (plus shipping). All the best Raphi
  17. Hi guys! I'm looking to buy a used practice cage from Tiffen (or a home-made weight plate) of around 22lb (ca 10kg). I'm based in Switzerland. Can anyone help me out? All the best from the land of cheese and chocolate Raphi
  18. Maybe a firewall of your customer? On my laptop, the connection to your page is described "unsafe"...
  19. Hi there! I've been looking for a spare arm post that lets me put my 5/8'' gimbal on the G50x. But until now, I could not find it anywhere, and the guys from CVP.com - where I normally get the equipment - don't know about it either... Does anyone have an idea where I could get any infos about that topic? Or do you know a European reseller? All the best Raphi
  20. Hi Martin,

  21. Good morning!
I was wondering if you would be interested in only selling the G50x-arm and/or the vest separately, or if you wanted to sell your kit as one unit.

If so, what would be your price for the individual items?

    All the best
