  1. Hey Neill!

I own and operate THT Battery located here in NYC. We repair batteries and chargers, and re-cell batteries as well.

I have refurbished LP4's and LP2's in stock, as well as freshly re-celled Dionic HC batteries.

    LP4: $899

    LP2: $499

    Dionic HC's: $199 each

If anyone is in need of any of the above please feel free to DM me for details. All come with a standard 1yr warranty, functionality guaranteed as-new.

I suppose I know the answer but wondering why Anton/Bauer does not offer an option to re-cell their batteries and save the planet from more plastic waste? Honestly, I could have taken advantage of the trade in offer at only a slightly higher cost but I found the reuse/recycle option so much more appealing.

    Hey all!

I know this conversation was a while back, but I just wanted to let you guys know I agree with you that people should have options to reduce waste, and that's why I'm opening up shop in New York to offer re-cell service to the filmmaking community. This past year I had my personal set of HCX batteries start to go bad, and when I realized Ritter had closed up shop I decided to tool up and do the service myself. I am now up and running, able to re-cell Anton Bauer, PAG, Core/Switronix, and IDX. The list is growing, so if you've got something laying around that you'd prefer not go to waste hit me up and I'll be more than happy to take a look.

  3. Hello!

My name is Tyler, I'm a local 52 gaffer and documentary filmmaker, and I have been gearing up my workshop in NYC to be able to provide re-cell service. As a filmmaker myself I got frustrated with the prospect of just throwing away my old AB batteries that would no longer hold a charge; this seemed so wasteful. And upon realizing that Ritter had closed up shop, I decided to give it a go.

There is a lot of specialized tooling necessary to do this so it took a while to get up and running this year but I have now successfully re-celled batteries of several different manufacturers including Anton Bauer, IDX, and PAG. After refining my methods and materials I am now testing these re-celled batteries at higher capacity than their original specs.

I am curious what questions and priorities everybody has so please feel free to reply here and I'll answer what I can. Following John Ritter's legacy is something I don't take lightly- he offered exceptional quality work and customer service, and I plan to do the same. This includes using only genuine high-quality materials, thorough methods including performance and thermal testing, fast turnaround and a 1-year standard warranty on my work, no questions asked.

If you are interested in this service feel free to reach out and I'll give you more details! I am excited to gear up and start serving our community.
