II. Older Model Controls (Micro Force or V+F) a. Before using an older model control to drive a video lens, make sure that the control has been configured for video lens operations. Just because it says V+F on the front does NOT mean that it has been configured for video. It means that it CAN be configured for video. That's great news; I have a volkswagen GTI Turbo, now please take care !!! this does not mean it has a turbo. It means that it CAN be configured for turbo. Hi Joe, if you need a quick fix (external) try the Alfatronix PV12i, it is made in the uk www.alfatronix.ltd.uk and will down convert from 17-31v to 13.6 12 amp. ground isolated. I do not mind reading all the things people have to say about the AR or any other product related to steadicam, this is why I joined, remember the products from Pro Gear and UnitCine, Benz but also all the nice words on Scorpio, Preston, Bartech, Transvideo, Tiffen, etc. No way we are better of if they have their conversation outside this forum. For me it all worked out in the end, I like the gear he is selling, but I'm very happy I do not have anything to do with him anymore and sold all the pro gear stuff I owned. It is a great piece of work and it will be the absolute right gear; for you. Have fun. Hi Peter, I more or less had the same problem, I use an Ultra and can compare the way the Marell level works very well, I also had my level shipped and returned a couple of times but the one I have right now is working perfect. I bought it because the Ultra level when swtitched to low mode has to be adjusted and the Marell has no problem with this. Service from Marrel is very good, but it took some time to sort it out. I think it is not much of an advise to talk about Pro Gear, I and many others did have problems with this company. :angry:

gerard, the way the ultra is build you'll need the extra weight, and the weight is used to power your monitor. best mark

Gerard, have a look on the transvideo site 'customers' Mark de Blok simply use the green screen arc and add a battery to the monitor, like a pag cobalt or a Lithium Ion, this will give you about the same mass compared to a green screen and will make dynamic balance easy mark

So, to me it is all very clear; do not buy anything from pro gear if you do not live in denmark (next to Jan) mark de blok
