  1. And most important, who did the optical modification on the 16mm Angenieux 10x12 zoom so it covers 35mm format?
  2. If I was designing my own gimbal I would use a pair of the first two listed bearings for the pan and the third listed one for the tilt bearings as they would be self aligning and make for easier fabrication. http://www.thk.com/us/products/class/cross...roller_r_a.html http://www.kaydonbearings.com/catalogs/Catalog311.pdf#page=3 http://www.globalspec.com/FeaturedProducts..._Bronze/18112/1
  3. Thanks Derrick, I was looking for that too. Might be in L.A. around the end of Aug. and want to give him a shout. How have you been? Like the way you spiffed up your site. Chuck Colburn

  5. Hi Job, What ever radio you use find one that will allow you to attach a "Noise cancalling mic." to it. These are what private pilots use when flying to cancell out the ambient back ground noise. This will make it easier for all involved to hear each other. Chuck
  6. My guess is you're dealing with Galvanic Action; the corrosive affect of other metals/alloys in contact with steel. Aluminum is considered a very "active" alloy when in contact with steel; if you're in a damp or salt water environment it compounds the effect. Hello Robert, I would suggest putting some "Anti-Seeze" on steel threads that screw into aluminum. It's availble at auto part stores. Mechanics use it on spark plugs that mount into alloy engine heads. Chuck
  7. Like these? http://www.monroeengineering.com/adjustable_handles Check the web, there's a buncha sites including Kipp themselves.
  8. Hello Rob, There have been improvements to the hobby radios, this one might help those who want to DIY. http://www.towerhobbies.com/products/futaba/futl8926.html Perhaps with the servo modifications for continous rotation and the increased resolution, (see the little video on the above web site) of the Futaba it might do for those not in the high end market.

  10. Panavision bought out Plus 8 (I think) and are offering the HD Camera's thru them. I don't know if they would do that in LA, since both vendors are still there, but they are offering them in other markets. (Orlando) As fa as being "panavised", I'm not sure about that. I don't think they have done any modifications to them yet. Chip Good morning, Perchance are you the Chip Monk of Woodstock fame? Chuck
  11. I poked around and did not see this on any of the forums I looked at and thought it might be of intrest to some. http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/acatalog/MP...e_Recorder.html
