Hi Henry, I'm not sure if you remember when we were talking about this last week but this is specifically for use with the back mount vest and the lack of pivot is not an issue because the pivot becomes inert as the socket block is reversed from it's normal orientation and is therefore against the stop that prevents it flipping too far on the spring. The only point at which the arm pivots is at the aircraft pin which is plenty to get the clearance from the front of the Klassen vest. Hope this answers your question but feel free to give me a call if you need any clarification. Cheers, Martin

Plenty of interest but all offers considered. Just need the space. -
Hi Quaid, In the early days of GMP they had issues with credit card fraud so they simply will not accept them anymore. In the end their system is no different to anywhere else in that you order something, they send you an invoice, you pay the invoice, they ship the order. I've spent tens of thousands with them and never had a problem. Cheers,

To those of you using the Meridian on live OB's I need your help with a technical issue we are trying to solve. I have the broadcast Meridian and upon testing the delay after feeding a timecode through the transmitter and genlocking the broadcast receiver to the truck we found that while the frame was in sync there was about a 50 line drop/delay in the the frame. To get around this we then put it through a framestore which added a frame delay as it went to the next full frame. Is there a way around this to avoid adding that frame? Another option to set this up. We checked the Genlock delay on the receiver and it was set to zero. Would we be better to drop the Genlock and run through a framestore instead? Any help that you good give me would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Martin

Pro DBII Dovetail 7" & Sony VCT-14
Martin Stacey replied to Pierre Huembs's topic in Camera Stage/Donkey Box
Try to avoid the VCT plates where possible. There is too much movement in those plates resulting in vibration in your shot. There are a number of ENG style plates around that are designed specifically for steadicam that screw directly to the bottom of the camera. If you absolutely must use the VCT try and build it up with some camera tape so that the camera sits snug in it and get some type of slotted plate. -
As far as lanc is concerned you might want to look at the Libec 3DV

Send them to Peter Hoare in London.Though he is at Cinegear this week I'm sure he'll be able to help you Jaun.

Jack told me no when I was there last month. They're moving their production facilities to Oregon.

Thanks Tim

I got the same as Brian

To be fair the presenter was txtd the intro details and was given "Gary from Tiffen here to talk about steadicam" as the only information to go on so was genuinely embarrassed.

Just wondering if I am the only one getting emails from "forum support" about buying Chezc leather handbags? Cheers Martin

Airpul wireless transmitter&receiver
Martin Stacey replied to clover.yang's topic in Video Assist and Video Accessories
I suspect that Airpul won't be around for much longer. As I understand it, they've been served cease and desist papers for patent infringements etc. -
